convenient location and friendly

Pros: I liked the convenient location near public transports and the quiet and nice environment.
The Bellmoor hotel is on the 3rd and 4th floor in a 6 floor building next to the Hamburg University. Quiet residential environment, 3min away from S/U-Bahn Dammtor and bus station. A few restaurants with local food are just 5 min away. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We got city maps, the Hamburg Card directly at the hotel reception. The single room is small but clean and quiet. Breakfast, no buffet but nice choice of bred, fruits, cheese, ham and eggs. The coffee could be better. It was a very convenient hotel for our tree days stay in Hamburg.

Der große Vorteil des Hotels ist, dass es sehr günstig gelegen ist - nur ca. 6 Minuten Fußweg vom Bahnhof Hamburg-Dammtor entfernt. Beim Einchecken wurde mir gesagt, dass es zwar Frühstück ab 8.00 Uhr geben würde, allerdings nicht am nächsten Morgen, da dann um 8.00 Uhr schon alle Plätze im Frühstücksraum besetzt seien. Ich sagte, dass ich aber schon früh wieder abreisen müsse, was der Angestellte an der Rezeption mit einem Achselzucken quittierte. Also gab's für mich kein Frühstück! Als er mir mein Zimmer zeigte, hatte er beim Öffnen der Tür sofort die Türklinke in der Hand und murmelte etwas davon, dass er das ja noch hätte melden wollen, damit es repariert wird - wurde es aber bis zu meiner Abreise nicht. Im Zimmer entdeckte ich dann noch, dass die Nachtischlampe kaputt war - der gläserne Lampenschirm kam mir gleich entgegen. Außerdem konnte man die Lampe nicht einschalten, da der Schalter so angebracht war, dass man nicht an ihn herankam. Alles in allem war dieses Hotelzimmer die 80 Euro definitiv nicht wert.
