Very clean hotel with perfect service. Nice and quite area. There is a safe parking garage 200m from the hotel for 10€ a day for cars under 2m. Will come back for my next Hamburg trip.

The hotel was fine and had parking. The neighborhood I would not visit again. I would go for Neustadt or rotherbaum next time

The hotel sits in one of Hamburg’s rougher areas is not something I’d overlook. The public transport connection is genuinely convenient, with a bus and metro stop right nearby that gets you into the city quickly, but our trip through the underground station during the day was uncomfortable enough to be worth mentioning. The rooms themselves didn’t hold up either. No fridge, no kettle, no drinks in the room and pointing guests to a 24/7 bar doesn’t replace basic amenities. The TV placement in the room also felt like an afterthought and for the price, I expected more. On the positive side, the bed was genuinely comfortable, and the staff made a real difference. Pascal in particular handled two separate requests during our stay quickly and without any fuss. That kind of service is worth mentioning. Would I stay again? Probably not at this price point but Pascal is the reason this review has any stars above two.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I stayed one night and it was a comfortable stay. Here are the pros and cons for me: Pros: -The gentleman at reception was polite and very efficient. As the room was vacant he offered me a much earlier check in which was very useful as I had arrived early. -Hotel and the room were very clean. -It is located very close to a metro station, the area is fairly decent and not far from the city centre. It was a cold winter day. The room was quiet. Cons: There is no coffee/tea making facility in the room, which is a standard everywhere I have stayed before. I did not see any bins in the room and had to use the toilet bin for my rubbish. The room did not have a wardrobe. There was a basic rack however. I expect the above basic room facilities of a hotel in this class. Will I stay again? Only if I have to and found no better options.

Sehr sauberes Zi. Der Wunsch für ein zusätzliches Duvet wurde umgehend erfüllt. Sehr leckeres Frühstück, feine Brötchen, alles Bio. Die Bar sehr zu empfehlen, schöne und gemütliche Location. Direkter U- Bahn Anschluss vor dem Hotel. Der Bahnhof ist in 10 Min. zu Fuss erreichbar. Wenn Hamburg, sicher wieder ins Motel One Alster. Für uns DAS Hotel.

Kein Frühstück gebucht, sah aber am Samstag- und Sonntagmorgen recht voll aus. Wenige Tische mit STühlen in normaler Höhe. Überwiegend wurde an kleinen Tischen mit Sessel und Couch gegessen.

Hotel hat voll unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Es war sehr sauber und wurde gerade frisch renoviert. Personal war super freundlich und hat uns toll weitergeholfen bei Fragen hinsichtlich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel, etc. Gehen sehr gerne wieder in eine Motel One und können speziell das Hamburger Alster Motel One definitiv weiterempfehlen. Einziger Wunsch den wir hätten: ein kleiner Wasserkocher, damit man sich auch mal einen Tee oder Kaffee auf dem Zimmer machen kann. Man bekommt diesen allerdings auch jederzeit an der Bar (24h geöffnet).

Leider war unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr enttäuschend. Das Hotel glich während unseres Besuchs einer Baustelle, worüber wir im Vorfeld in keiner Weise informiert wurden. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts fanden Bauarbeiten statt. Selbst am Samstagmorgen begannen die Arbeiten bereits ab 9:00 Uhr. Besonders irritierend war der Zustand des Aufzugs, der mit OSB-Platten verkleidet war und insgesamt keinen einladenden Eindruck vermittelte. Wir hätten uns vorab eine transparente Information über die Renovierungsarbeiten gewünscht, um unsere Reise entsprechend planen oder gegebenenfalls umbuchen zu können.

Wie in jedem Motel One: sauberes, aber winziges Zimmer mit einem TV, bei dem sinnfreier Weise der Sleeptimer gesperrt ist. Frühstück ebenfalls wie in allen Motel One: einfach nicht mit buchen und statt dessen zum Bäcker um die Ecke gehen.
