Loved it !

Loved it ! Would definitely use again, even though its a bit more expensive than some (read mixed reviews of other hotels in this area). Very near central station. Amazing art deco lobby (which is huge!) and dining area. Nice room, more spacious than in some hotels.

Hotel is in a good location opposite the main station. Room was quite small but functional and clean. Good shower. Our room was ready on arrival which was handy. Two major downsides for us: 1. There is nowhere to sit in the lobby unless you are ordering from their bar. We had returned from a day out with a coffee and wanted to sit and chill for 10 minutes but were told (quite rudely may I add) that we had to return to our room. I've never had this at a hotel before, and as said above the rooms are small. 2. The area around the hotel is pretty sketchy at night so we wanted a drink at the hotel bar after dinner. Unfortunately we were told the bar was full and that they would not find a space for us. Again I have never had this issue with a hotel bar before and the waiter was very rude. A shame because otherwise the hotel was nice but I would not stay there again.

This is an excellent hotel. It is quiet, with pleasant rooms and a wonderful long-nineteenth-century feel. Breakfast is amazing and the restaurants in the hotel are very good. In addition, many excellent restaurants, cafes and shops are nearby. Doing laundry is very hard, because all laundromats are very far away -- 20 minutes by subway (or more). There is no refrigerator in the room. This makes longer stays hard.

This one’s a winner…a venerable hotel across from the main train station. It’s lobby, restaurant and bar echo the property’s 120 year history, with updated and crisp bedrooms, efficient and friendly personnel, and an unbeatable location in terms of access to the rest of the city. Bedrooms very a lot. Some are significantly larger than others, so it’s worth making sure you’re getting what you want.

Excellent stay and service!

My stay at the Reichshoft Hamburg was excellent. The hotel is centrally located just across from the Hamburg Central Station and other amenities in the city. The front desk staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was very clean, and everything in it functioned as expected. I highly recommend this hotel if you need to travel to the airport or if you want to travel by rail to other parts of Germany or Europe. I will definitely stay at the Reichshoft again.

Fantastic stay at this hotel, great location for tourists, lovely room, good bathroom and water pressure in walk in shower, quiet even though it's a busy area of Hamburg. Free safe, coffee machine, comfortable bed, only lacking was any English TV channels would have been nice even bbc World or sky news.

Great staff, comfortable hotel

An excellent hotel. The welcome was warm, the decor fresh, the room spotless, the design well-planned. It is very central, so some street noise can intrude, but the location is worth it. The basement sauna is a bonus, worth booking in advance at a discount.

Fantastic stay. Staff were exceptional. Hotel had wow factor every time you walk in. Room and bed were excellent as was the shower and coffee facilities in the room. Right next to train station which is spectacular and short walk to city centre. Nothing negative to say about our whole stay.

Locations great next to station. Good clean room albeit on the smaller side for the price paid. Breakfast was always busy, staff not overly helpful at breakfast. Paying 10€ daily for Steam/Sauna is a bit of a shame considering every hotel in its vicinity has no cost attached, even those with pools.
