Worth a visit

Thabknyoy for an excellent hotel to stay at was really useful for city centre access and great room to relax after a long day.

Stayed as a group of 4 ladies for a girly birthday weekend. On arrival the staff upgraded the birthday girls room to a suite. The suite was fantastic, spacious, stylish and comfortable. The area is great for exploring the heart of Hamburg. Overall we had a fabulous stay, my only feedback would be to include tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. In addition to this, a basic cleaning kit for the suite would be great for the washing up dishes etc.

The area surrounding the hotel is not the best one. The pillows provided were a absolutely terrible, they went almost completely flat and looked more like baby's duvet. No fridge or facilities to make coffee in the room. Breakfast at €25 per person is a bit steep.

So the lift wasn't working up to the 5th floor so had to walk up a few floors that wasn't such a big issue, but there was no hot water for my shower which is a shame considering the hotel etc is wonderful.

Extremely basic for the price

Quite a basic hotel and expensive for what it is. You pay extra for everything. No water in the room, no kettle, no coffee or tea, and no fridge. Asked at reception and apparently guests are walking away with the kettles so they have to be asked for or you can make a coffee downstairs. Only found out by chance that water is supposed to be in the room when reception said they only provide water and was issued with two bottles when I said there was none. One bath towel for two people provided which was promptly remedied after complaining. Tried to make a coffee downstairs in the morning as advised but there was no kettle to use and making one with the machine in the (completely empty) breakfast parlour would be €5, and another €4.20 just for hot water as we had our own tea. To make matters worse, many of the staff only speak broken German or basically almost non- existent German. We will not return, but at least the beds and mattresses are very good and you can have a good sleep as it's quiet too.

Clean and efficient not for luxury stay

The hotel was conveniently located to public transportation. The breakfast service was OK. I wish the fresh fruits provided would’ve tasted better. (Not quite ripe). Also, I didn’t like that. The only way to communicate with reception was to go to the lobby because there were no phones available in the room.

Overall nice hotel. Clean and spacious. Only negative remarks would be bed was not super comfortable and though wood floors seem nice in theory, all morning/afternoon of my stay I could hear the room above me sliding furniture which was awful. I kind of wanted a refund for my late check out because of the noise.

Dejligt hotel, dejlig morgenmad, fin service, roligt kvarter. Eneste anke var placeringen tæt på det noget udfordrede område omkring banegården, som vi ofte passerede på vej ned til byen, hvilket kan være lidt utrygt.

I would stay there again

Shower did not have a slopped floor water flow or shower door so the bathroom flooded with water The soaps in the spray bottles was nearly empty They offered a drink instead of room service saving themselves from paying a cleaner 10€ and only offering a€1:30 drink if you wanted a €2.30 you had to pay Other motels offering a€5 drink token so I thought that was cheap of them

Very clean and spacious room. No coffee machine but a kettle in the room, which is great for us. Have to get your mugs, cups, cutlery, etc. from the restaurant on the ground floor though. After checking in online, you can get your room keys at one of the booths without the help of any staff; but when you check out using that device, you still need to pass the room keys back to the staff, which took us longer time than doing it in the manual way.
