I did not use the pool while there. It looked pretty good though. Had an unclean microwave in the suite and the bathroom was a bit dirty. Other than that was a pretty decent stay.

We had one issue that we approached theanager about as we checked out. It had nothing to do about the facility itself or room, which were great. There was another group that was staying at the hotel as we were and in the same zone, and it was very rowdy and loud for hours into the later night. We brought this issue to the management attention, it was dealt with and explained to us what steps they take, and in the end it was a professional and courteous exchange. Things happen no matter where one stays, it comes down to how supportive and reactive the staff and management are, and in this scenario they were excellent.

Disappointed

I arrived at the hotel at 5 PM, even though check-in was from 3 PM, only to be told that my room wasn’t ready yet. They gave me a different room, which was on the first floor facing the highway — not exactly the best location. When I returned late at night and tried to take a shower, only lukewarm water came out. The same thing happened the next morning. The room itself was very clean and even had a kitchen, which was nice, but unfortunately, the other issues made the overall experience disappointing.

It was ok. The service from main waitress at the restaurant was excellent. Front desk was mediocre service. Small rooms. It's like pulling teeth trying to get new towels and clean garbages. Highway noise. Shady person hanging out at the back of hotel.

Room 245. Adjacent to the QEW. Very loud. Wish I was told this on check in. Could not get to sleep at all. Need to improve the sound isolation of the windows like the other hotels along the QEW ie, at Burloak. Also no hot water in the shower at 6:20am. Only lukewarm.

As a hockey parent who travels frequently for tournaments, I was looking for a quiet and comfortable stay between games. Candlewood Suites Burlington recently completed a very nice renovation, and overall, the hotel is in excellent condition—clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which I appreciated. That said, my experience didn’t quite match my expectations. I booked Candlewood Suites separately from the main hockey block at the Holiday Inn, hoping for more privacy and a quieter space to get some work done. However, I was surprised to find that my room had no exterior window, opening instead to a busy atrium. This setup led to constant noise, with kids playing mini sticks throughout the day and into the . While this might be a great option for families looking to be in the middle of the action, it wasn’t ideal for my needs. This type of room feels like the hotel equivalent of an interior cabin on a cruise ship—something that should be made very clear at booking. It’s a lower-category room experience compared to other options in the hotel. If I had known in advance, I would have booked elsewhere. While the facilities are spotless and well-managed, I personally prefer Marriott properties and will likely choose differently in the future. If you’re traveling with young kids and want to be in a lively environment, this could be a great fit. But for those seeking a quieter stay, I’d recommend confirming your room location before booking.
