I stay at this location often as I have family in the area. I love the waterfront location. I have recommended this location to many friends.
However, on this visit, I was not properly informed about the daily resort fee. Although it was listed in the fine print of my reservation when I checked in at the hotel, the front desk clerk took my credit card information with the explanation that it would be needed for the deposit Which would be refundable. They did not inform me of the resort fee, which would be added to my invoice. I had prepaid for my three day visitthrough Expedia. It was only a few days later that I discovered I was charged $54 for the resort fee. I spoke to Nick The hotel manager and he refused to offer a refund or any other type of creative solution although he did admit that the front staff had been negligent in not informing me. He continually stated that I had been informed in the fine print of the email. He would not even consider a voucher for a future visit. I believe that all of these extra charges should be clearly outlined at check-in time to avoid this kind of frustration. I will not be staying at this location in the future.
