Our Room was tiny. My husband is 6’2” and his feet were hanging off the bed about a foot. There was NO parking available mainly because of the people visiting their bar. So many people from the bar were blocking the hall to the elevators - we couldn’t tell if they were just congregating there or waiting for the elevator.

Not worth it.

This hotel already has a later than average check in time (4pm), but the room was still not ready upon our arrival at 4:30. The desk clerk was rude and unhelpful and could not estimate how long the wait would be. He did not offer even an apology, a drink while we wait, a discount, truly nothing. When we did get into the room, around 6pm, the toilet had not been thoroughly cleaned (under the seat was dirty) and there was less than a half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Overall for $275 a night, not even close to worth it.

The hotel was beautiful but there was a wedding the night we stayed there. The bar and sitting areas were packed so we didn't get to enjoy them. We did eat at the restaurant and it was very good.

Absolutely adorable little gem of a hotel! The rooms were beautiful and comfy! The grounds were beautiful and very true southern decor. I had a one night stay and got a great nights rest. Quiet, staff was kind and amenities are great.

Nice palce for a LSU game

I had a wonderful stay at the Southern Hotel in Covington. The atmosphere truly captures the charm of the real South, chic, stylish, and beautifully set. The staff was very accommodating and even provided me with an early check-in, which I greatly appreciated. Everything felt warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be staying here again!
