Staff went above and beyond to make our trip special. I have never received such unbelievable and courteous service in my entire life! If you want to stay in the old quarter of Hanoi right by the lake, this is THE spot to stay. Cannot recommend enough!!!!!

Fantastic stay at L'HÔTEL du LAC, Hanoi I stayed at L'HÔTEL du LAC for a week and a half in October and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter — close to many sights, cafés, and shops, yet quiet enough for a restful stay. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and well maintained throughout my visit. The staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and with great attention to detail. Their hospitality really made my stay memorable. The hotel’s **Le Ciel Sky Bar** is a highlight — the evening city views are beautiful, and the cocktails are creative and expertly made. I also visited **La Maison Spa**, where I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had — truly first-class service. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hanoi, and I’d happily stay again!

My family and I booked two rooms for 5 days and chose it for the great location. The staff went above and beyond during our stay- starting from a late flight check in, to ensuring our rooms were right next to each other, booking amazing day trips to Ninh Binh & Halong Bay, to booking a shuttle to the airport and ensuring we had coffee for our departure. We were already blown away at how attentive the staff was but after our departure to our next city it was the cherry on top. My mother forgot an item in her room. We contacted the Hotel and not only were they able to find the item in a few hours, but they also shipped it to our next hotel! My mother was elated and we are so thankful for the patience and kindness that the staff has for each guest.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the moment my Grab car (think Uber) pulled up to the building the staff was incredibly hospitable. I received a message via WhatsApp asking my time of arrival the day, I landed in Hanoi, asking my arrival time. Check-in was seamless with a welcome drink awaiting me. My room wasn't quiet ready as I arrived at 9am, so I went exploring and upon my return a few hours later my room was ready with my bags were already in the room. I used the laundry service which was great. Upon check out, I received a really beautiful tote bag as a gift. Stay here, centrally located, quiet and clean. My one note is that I had a bit of an allergic reaction the day I just stayed in the room. I am highly sensitive to mold and dander -- it rained a bit, and Vietnam is very wet and humid, so those may be contributing factors. It went away as soon as I left so just a consideration.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Centrally located and convenient within the old quarter. The stand outs are the service and breakfast buffet. Every service member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Requests were fulfilled immediately and with enthusiasm and care. The breakfast buffet was a nice surprise. Great assortment of food at the buffet as well as food and drinks available to order at no cost. The selection changed slightly each morning so I was excited to see what was available every day. The hotel also contacted me before arrival and offered a driver service from the airport to hotel for a reasonable fee. We also arranged the same service to the airport when departing and this was organised seamlessly. Upon leaving we were gifted cute tote bags!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating during my stay. The reception desk provided instructions on places to visit in Hanoi as well as assisting in travelling to Sapa. Due to the typhoon at the time, travel to other parts of northern Vietnam were limited however the reception desk were able to contact the bus agency to determine the conditions to Sapa. Would book again!

Very nice to stay in this hotel.. will come for next trip in Hanoi. Staffs are very kind, especially Ms. Jolie, Chloe at reception, Mr. Marco, Enzo and Alberto at front door, and Ms. Bella and Alice at restaurant. They are super kind and helpful while We stayed.. Clean and cute rooms, loved the rooftop bar, the staff was super friendly. For us, the highlight was the breakfast, better than all other places we stayed at. We still talk about it a week later! We enjoyed our stay very much. The one downside was that we could hear a little bit the noise from the hallway, but not too much. I would still say the place was quiet, we slept well.
