Its a good hotel with great breakfast and impeccable service. Also the location is unbeatable. One star less because the hotel can be noisy either from street sounds or morning next door cleaning. This is especially annoying if you have jet lag and require peace.

Horrible experience. Extreme loudness and drilling / construction that went on until 430am. Front desk called to the construction site to complain once but did nothing further. The streets are extremely loud.you hear cars honking all night, morning and day. The walls are extremely thin. The shower head and the toilet seat are together. When you shower the whole washroom gets wet and there is nothing separating the toilet and the shower . This is for the room an upgraded room that I paid extra money for as well. When I first entered the room there were 7 bugs on the ceiling.

We had a great stay and loved that it was central to everything. Breakfast buffet was good, Sky Bar has a great view. This isn't a convenient spring you have mobility issues as you need to walk up a couple flights of stairs to the restaurant and bar. Otherwise, a great place.

An Enjoyable Stay at the Rex Hotel

Upon entering the hotel we were greeted and welcomed with hot tea.......lovely. Our luggage was stored while waiting for our room to become ready. We had breakfast every morning and the staff and food selection was outstanding. We ate dinner in the evening twice and found the food to be very good. The Sky bar was enjoyed and overall we recommend the hotel. Thanks for the enjoyable stay at the Rex Hotel.

Restaurant was on the 15 floor and the elevator only went to the 12. And anyone that has a hard time with stairs well it was quite painful. The swimming pool is very tiny and a few steps down from the restaurant and very cold. Other that that it was great but you pay for it

Location good

Good location in the old town, but very noisy by day and night. Staff are friendly but the hotel is dated and the rooms look old. Also the walls are thin and you can hear everything! If you want a quiet night sleep, the hotel is not the best place.

This hotel is in the heart of Old Quarters. It is very close to Swan Lake, which is beautiful to walk around. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in this area, including the Water Puppet Theater, Hanoi Prison and Vietnamese Women’s Museum. A quick GRAB and you will be at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Park. Best of all was the Sky Bar and Breakfast Buffet, including the view. The staff was fabulous, polite and very helpful with tours, grab, reservations, etc. They all deserve recognition for a “top-notch” performance. The staff, especially Kim are what makes this hotel stand out. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. Thumbs up to all of you!
