This was my 2nd stay after traveling around Vietnam for a couple of weeks. Breakfast was a great way to start the day with a perfect mix of Asian and Western cuisine. Plenty of this to see and do and all within walking distance. Very friendly staff and a special mention to Ms Hannie at the front desk who always welcomed you with the biggest smile and ready to help in any way possible. I will be definitely staying at the Rex Hanoi next time I visit, wonderful property.

We had an excellent experience at Rex Hanoi Hotel. All the staff were very attentive and provided phenomenal service (reception, doormen, facilities, room service, and dining service staff). Vivian and all the dining service staff were exceptional. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay within Hanoi's Old Quarter area for its great location, thoughtful staff, and yummy breakfast.

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor hygiene. You can smell the sewage in your room. Coming from the bathroom. No one should be living in this smelly hotel condition.

Room smelly. Shower head broken, water system running through the wall to my room super loud and noisy when I use the water. Not meeting its 4 star hotel condition. I checked in with VIP access guest but I am not getting any of the benefits or even told about the offer. Plus not even feel as guest to the hotel. Let a lone the VIP access treatment.

Staff super friendly and helpful, especially Miss Hannie. Rooms adequate and clean. Walk in shower was great. Good location right in the heart of the old town. Good buffet breakfast. There was an indoor pool but this was very cold and inaccessible for anyone with access problems.

The junior suite was quite small and hotel is small in general but that looks to be the case for most hotels in the Old Quarter. Similar to European hotels. Location is very central in the Old Quarter. Walkable to some of the attractions near the Lake.

The staff is nice but the hotel is run down. The lobby can fool you. Once we got into our room it was dirty and run down. The floor/carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed with toe nail clippings around the bathroom. There were little tiny bugs I kept finding. Not a comfortable stay at all

A nice buffet breakfast, and a games room and indoor pool. There is a beautiful view from the bar on the rooftop. And it’s a lovely and quiet place to sit in the mornings if you’re up early. Comfy room and bed. A fantastic shower too.
