Hotel is old but clean. Breakfast was excellent. Very impressed. Staff was very nice. Recommend preplanning off property parking. Parking lot is less than ideal. Very limited spaces and VERY tight for larger vehicles

The hotel looks better in photos than in person; it's very old and smells really bad. The carpets, no matter how much carpet deodorant they use, still stink. The beds are so old that my husband almost fell off at night, the sheets made us itch, and the bathroom is super tiny. There's an old TV, and outside the place, there's a dump of furniture. One door doesn't work, and the breakfast is terrible. The train wakes you up in the middle of the night, we had a terrible night.

Our room facing the park was clean and comfortable and the King sized bed provided a restful night. The hotel staff was responsive to our request for an additional comforter and the breakfast included with our package had more options than we expected. We would definitely stay at the Capitol Hotel again.
