Friendly staff at check in and very clean rooms! Good breakfast for additional charge- coffee was not so good! 😊 When we asked for extra pillows we were surprised with size! We were very happy! We would stay again in the future as it’s located in old Heidelberg and has such interesting history and beautiful architecture! Danke! 😊🇩🇪
Lovely hotel full of charm! Excellent service! Available coffee and tea station 24/7. Amazing staff, very friendly and so willing to help with anything! Would stay here again for sure☺️
This hotel is right in the middle of the town square and walking distance to everything. It is a perfect example of historical elegance and was the perfect choice for our stay. Loved everything about it.

Amazing location, undergoing renovations.
The location of Hotel Zum Ritter was amazing, the very best in old town Heidelberg!! The price was also good so we were able to look past the shortcomings because it was undergoing renovations and was still not 100% in their accommodations. Staff was minimal but the staff who were there were great. Room could have been cleaner and better prepared for our arrival (hair on the bathroom floor and an empty tissue box). Overall, a very good experience for us though!
In heart of old Heidelberg. Walk to everything. Excellent service, old traditional setting. Going back in time, but with modern accommodations.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Pros: charming historic building, room was comfortable; good breakfast.
Cons: 3 bottles of liquid soap in room - 2 empty 1 with small amount which ran out the next day. No housekeeping on 2nd day. It took 4 ( four!) requests over several hours to get a bottle of soap handed to me. Towels were finally delivered at end of day ( used towels not removed). The desk clerk was very rude - he was apparently very put out that I was asking for basic items. There was no hairdryer in room and internet was very irregular.
Our stay here was nice. Location was great. Central to all our activities. Staff was friendly

Old established hotel in great location. The small lift was not working on the Sunday when we arrived so we had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs. This outage was not mentioned at check in
The property lived up to our memories of our first stay there in 1981. However there was no provision or information about parking, the restaurant was closed and the morning we left they didn't provide breakfast.
The beds are extremely comfortable. The Wi-Fi and tv are sub-par, but we didn't stay at the beautiful and historical Ritter for the tv. The location, views, staff, breakfast, and surrounding dinner options are outstanding.
475-year-old building, beautifully renovated and kept up. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous location, smack in the middle of old Heidelberg, right next to the Holy Ghost Church. On Sunday at 9:00, as it is summer and we had kept the windows open, we woke up to the sound of the church organ starting mass service. It was a first for both of us.
