Nice classy hotel. The rooms aren't' spectacular and a little out of fashion, but we took the upgrade for an in-room sauna that was great once we figured out how to use it. They also have a downstairs communal sauna.

A stunning hotel which belies the good price. Within easy walking distance of the main city and with plenty of places to visit or eat. Hotel room is extremely spacious and comfortable. Service was fantastic and breakfast super to start the day. Within walking distance of the Ferry Port.

Great location and lovely service

Lovely hotel, great location, nice room. We were able to check in early by upgrading slightly and got a great size room. Sauna nice, bar busy on Sat eve with good choice of beer, Sun eve quiet but reception served cans. Amazing buffet breakfast selection. After check out, we left our luggage securely and borrowed bikes for free. Great service, only negative was that the cleaners did not change our coffee mugs or replenish milk etc, but reception sorted that out immediately.

It is a grand old building, and and must have been impressive in its heyday but now it is not so fancy. My room was small, but as a solo traveller it was fine. The service from staff was good, and I had an enjoyable stay, and would consider staying again.

This hotel is an excellent choice! Do not get the two `Scandic Grand` hotels confused as I did, it involved a bit of extra walking (my fault) The hotel is very convenient to the Viking Line terminal. It has a gym and sauna which was enjoyable. Very good room and helpful staff although the front desk can get backed up from time to time.
