The Farmhouse is located in the Beautiful Mountains of Western North Carolina.

Spend relaxing time in our remodeled farmhouse cottage. Located 3 miles outside Franklin, North Carolina. The home is close to Highlands, Bryson City, Cherokee, Cashiers, Sylva, Hayesville just to name a few of western NC delightful towns. The home is about a hour from Asheville. It is about a hour and half to Pigeon Forge, TN. Come stay while you are visiting the Great Smokey Mountains. There is plenty of hiking close by and lots of waterfalls to see. December is the perfect time for a visit to the Polar Express.
On the first floor of the farmhouse is the living room with a fire place and a television. There is a complete eat in kitchen. The master bedroom with a queen bed is off the living room. There is also a twin size bed in the room off the kitchen for guest or for napping. A full bathroom complete with fluffy towels. The second floor has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom with a full size bed and a television. The other room has 2 twin beds.
The front porch is a comfortable place to relax and read a book or sip on some sweet tea. The back yard is a great escape to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. It is shady in the day time and mood lighting for the nights. A great space for relaxing and grilling. There is also fire pit for outdoor bon fires. The right side front door there is a security camera that is facing the outside entrance and the driveway.
Oh so the farmhouse has an old tradition of two front doors. One front door is the formal entry into the living room for visitors, perhaps the pastor or Saturday afternoon guest. The second front door leads to the master bedroom for the homeowners after a day in the garden or at work.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Cowee Mountain Ruby Mine. Features include laundry facilities. The vacation home offers a kitchen and a fireplace.

The farmhouse was very clean and easy to locate. Great location for the ruby mines. We enjoyed our 3 night stay. I have two issues that I feel should have been specified in the listing. 1) The house is very near the highway. As a family that lives in a quiet, rural area, we were not used to the road noise and had a hard time sleeping. Fortunately, the highway was not busy late night/early morning. 2) You have to either take your garbage with you or pay (20 for the first bag and 10 for each additional bag) to leave it. I have never run across this in the many rentals I’ve stayed in. I didn’t have room in my vehicle so had to leave our 2 bags there.

Oven badly needs cleaning..firty yowels left in washer..no laundry soap avsilable to wash them Did not want to handle others dirty towels..prevented us from having access to washer and dryer. Toadter does not work..but overall awsome place. Would highly recvomend. Love the deer.

4 Day Getaway to Ride

Great location to ride, close to town, easy access in/out, enjoyed the front and back porches in the evening. Vicki/Ted gave clear departure directions, keyless entry was simple. The house was clean, had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Cozy and Charming Farmhouse

The farm home where we stayed was home away from home. Our family really enjoyed the time we had. There was every kind of kitchen gadget for any cooking that we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable. The living room was where we all congregated to talk and watch tv. It was very comfortable. We were even able to do laundry. The yard was neat and clean. The flowers were very pretty. We felt very safe.

Felt like home

Enjoyed the quiet place to stay that allowed us to let our kids run. Children Ages 6-13 and my two sisters enjoyed the porches. We stayed here after deciding that we could save by going with a vacation rental to split costs and have more privacy and space. This farmhouse has all the charm that the pictures show and more. When I visit again this is a lace I will call home while on vacation.
