We had a room upstairs, clean, quiet. Only 2 floors so not having an elevator wasn't a big deal.

We loved this place. Laid back, comfortable and friendly. Sherrie the manager is an absolute gem! Good place all around, and the location is great as a home base for exploring the incredible Black Hills area. Cool town, too. Really happy with this choice! Late July, plenty of motorcycles everywhere, so it's gloriously noisy- don't be surprised by this.

Super clean and comfortable

This hotel was very nice! Clean, comfortable beds. Nice pool and hot tub. Love the outside fire pit and seating. Walkable to downtown Hill City. We loved lost cabin brewery next door as well. Will definitely stay again.

Really liked the walking path behind the hotel, outdoor patios & fire pit. Rooms were older & didn’t feel that clean even though the gentleman who cleaned our room did a phenomenal job. I came in to get something & he was in the middle of cleaning because we didn’t have a do not disturb sign. There were do not disturb sign, ironing board, or coffee maker in our room which was strange. The bed was wonderful & loved all the pillows. Breakfast was really good with many options (eggs, meat, pastries, yogurt & waffle maker)

Room was clean, breakfast was great, pool area was clean. Pool water was a bit cold, and hot tub had a crack in it which prevented it from staying completely full. The room we were in lacked adequate areas to hang towels. There was a large gap (~1”) under the room door to the outside which I felt was unacceptable. We had to put a towel in front of the door at night. The card reader did not work into the pool area or into the side of the building door, which could potentially be a safety concern.
