Would not use this Hilton. Started off with overbooking, not able to provide Room that was prepaid for on hotels.com. Only room they could get us into Was dirty.

Good location; pool area too crowded and not enough chairs. They want you to rent chairs and charge $200 for a chair instead of just putting enough chairs out to accommodate their guest. Room was many and smelled like mold / mildew. Carpet could use replacing, room was dark .. not enough lighting and one place in the room to plug anything in.

On day 1 our room had a musty smell. We didn’t feel like bothering to ask for another room and thought we would just see if it improved over night. Also, toilet handle was finicky. Later that night woke at 2am burning up as the AC to the hotel down. Went to front desk & requested a different room hoping for a better AC & less stink. The next room (same floor) was better but no AC. Luckily the AC was fixed the next morning but slept miserably that night. No apology or some kind of comped breakfast was offered by management which would have been a nice gesture. Out of 4 days the elevators were down on 2 of them & only 2 of 3 elevators ever worked. Pool was clean & Bar service good. Overall this Hilton could use some maintenance to the rooms & overall building. Think I would look elsewhere the next time I go to Hilton Head.
