Construction and pool closed

Unfortunately, the pool was closed for renovations and the hotel next door was under construction. Very noisy, loads of vibrations 7am-10pm. Other than the constant noise and no pool the hotel was above average. The breakfast buffet had many selections, the rooms were clean, the staff was nice. I would only return if there was a pool and no construction.

This hotel is over rated for 3 stars. It is dirty all over. I got there around 2am and I don't know much about that erea, so I got to go with it.

Really Not value for money for this kind of hotel

I have been to HCMC every month for past 6 years, stay many hotel before, but I can ask this hotel is worst; the hotel room condition not only old but is also dirty and smelly. I request to change room but all the rooms seen same! I request to refund money since the picture in Hotels.com is much more different with the rel condition, but the Counter say can't cancel and I contact the Hotel customer service and operation also can't help me out..really disappointed!

Free & Easy tour

Duyen, receptionist in Rang Dong hotel. She is very helpful .she made arrangement to pick me up from the airport. She also willing to prepare breakfast without Pork. We went for breakfast on our 1st day and found out most of food do have pork & lard.we don't take breakfast at the hotel. Duyen will check our comfort in Hotel as and when.she such a humble and nice lady. Our 1st day we met a gentleman who been staying Vietman for 9 year and he showed us the area to find a Muslim Food together with the shopping mall with good bargain.We vistied few area in Vietnam by walking around hotel area and cap which easily reach at any area. Night Market was superb with good bargain. Our next trip will be Hanoi...

My 3 night stay @ Rang Dong

The service was good. There wasn't a whole lot of choices at the breakfast buffet. It is situated close to a roundabout. Which makes it very noisy from sunup til 10pm. Overall it was an ok experience.

Rang Dong review

Got to Rang Dong on the first night of a trip with my cousin. Easy check in (tell them to photocopy passport). Spacious room, good location. Great value for money. Little bit noisy but you're in Ho Chi Minh city so good luck finding something quiet.

Cheap room and friendly staff

The room I got was quite big and had windows that opened outwards (handy for a smoker like me). Shower was strong and hot, airconditioner did the job. Location was close to the benh thanh market and the backpacker drinking streets. Hotel lobby was open and manned 24x7 (I woke a guy up at 4am stumbling in after beers to get my room key). Big area out the front for taxi/bus to pull in, so if you're coming in via wheels and not feet there's no struggle getting your luggage out of the vehicle. ATM, coffee shops, food, convenience stores, all meters away. The breakfast buffet was rad, not western food, things like pho and dumplings and rice! Would stay there again.
