29 Ebden – Architectural Home in Hobart’s North
Welcome to 29 Ebden – your sanctuary to unwind & rejuvenate. Elevated and private, this luxurious architecturally designed home in Hobart's North has all that you need to enjoy a memorable stay in Tasmania. Perched atop a hill overlooking the Derwent River, the house features a large deck & outdoor wood fire pit, as well as a private bath deck. Please note; 29 Ebden's bedrooms are double (queen) share. E.g., if you would like four bedrooms prepared for your stay please book for eight guests. 29 Ebden is the perfect sanctuary and base to explore MONA, the Derwent Valley, the Coal River Valley and Hobart. While the property is centrally located between many popular visitor destinations, the house overlooks beautiful native trees below and the river and mountains beyond, giving the feeling of being disconnected from the nearby city. You will have exclusive, private access to this modern, spacious and comfortable home split across two levels. On the top level you will find the master bedroom, huge walk in robe and ensuite as well as a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area. This also space is also connected to a secure two car garage and laundry. A large sundeck and outdoor fire pit are accessed from both the master bedroom and living area, while the entryway to the private bath deck and outdoor bath can be found at one end of the lounge space. All outlooks boast spectacular views of the Derwent River and mountains on the Western side of the Coal River Valley. The well-equipped kitchen and large dining area has all that you need to cook up a Tasmanian feast. Or if you’re well and truly on holiday, dine at one of Hobart's many fantastic eateries – we've got many a favourite from fine dining to more casual options so please feel free to ask our recommendations. Downstairs you will find a second bedroom and ensuite as well two additional bedrooms and an adjacent shared bathroom. The downstairs hallway also leads to a third deck and outdoor dining area. Please see estimated travel times to several key locations below – please note, these times can vary depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. We always recommend that you check online maps prior to departure to ensure that you arrive on time. MONA – 8 minutes Derwent Valley Wineries – 8 minutes Hobart CBD – 20 minutes New Norfolk – 20 minutes Richmond – 25 minutes Hobart Airport – 35 minutes Oatlands – 55 minutes Mt Field National Park – 55 minutes Cygnet – 60 minutes Port Arthur – 85 minutes Guests have full, exclusive and private access to the upper levels of the house as well as the downstairs deck area. Dependant on the number of bedrooms required (as indicated by the number of guests in the booking), groups will also have access to additional downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. While we won't be on site, we're available via Airbnb message or phone should you need anything during your stay. 29 Ebden is located toward the end of a residential street in the Northern suburb of Claremont. A supermarket and other amenities can be found at a small shopping centre nearby. There are also some great takeaway food options locally, including – in our opinion – Hobart's best pizza (Pep Pizza in Austin's Ferry). Hobart's well-known restaurants, cafés and coffee shops are a short drive away in the areas surrounding the CBD. For convenience, we recommend accessing a car during your stay. The property boasts ample off-street parking including a two car garage. However, a metro bus is accessible from the end of the street for guests travelling via public transport. 29 Ebden is a space designed for relaxation, inspiration and reconnection. While the kitchen and dining area is perfectly equipped for a sensational dinner, late night conversation and a board game or two, outside guests are not permitted to join you at 29 Ebden without prior approval. We have a strict no parties policy. Any damages incurred as a result of events such as this will need to be paid in full by the person responsible for the booking.
