Fjellro-Geilo Cabin Retreat

Welcome to our lovely cabin on Geilo!

The cabin is located in a small and quiet cabin area with a sunny location and beautiful views over Ustefjorden and Veslia. The fenced plot has a large outdoor area that is very suitable for families with children. Here you will find both a fire pit and a grill – perfect for cosy evenings outdoors. There are two parking spaces belonging to the cabin, clearly marked with the name. From the car park it is approximately 80 metres to walk to the cabin, of which half is a gentle slope.

It is within walking distance to Geilo town centre, approximately 2 km along a cycle path. Geilo offers good shopping opportunities and pleasant cafés, in addition to a wide range of activities for the whole family – including bowling, swimming pool and water park, indoor golf simulator, climbing park, bicycle rental and downhill cycling. The cabin has good comfort with running water, bathroom and two toilets, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.



Summer

By the lake at the cabin you will find the marked trail up to Gullsteinhovda, a lovely hiking destination with beautiful views. From here you can continue to Prestholtseter and Hallingskarvet, both towards Ustaoset in the west and Havsdalen in the east.



If you head down to Ustedalsfjorden, you'll find a family-friendly sandy beach, a volleyball court and a sauna. There is also parking in the area. Around the water there are fine conditions for both walking and cycling.



From Vestlia alpine facility you can take the cable car up the mountain, where a varied network of marked hiking trails awaits.

Winter

The nearest alpine facility is Hallsteingård, only 10–15 minutes' walk from the cabin. Slaatta alpine facility is approximately 30 minutes away on foot and offers ski rental – as does Vestlia. There is a ski bus between the various alpine facilities, which makes it easy to get around.



The nearest prepared cross-country skiing trail runs around the lake, approximately 15 minutes' walk from the cabin – perfect for both leisurely outings and training.

This cabin offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
