About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Classic Chamberlands Outdoor Living & Soaking Tub!
Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You`ll love this 3 BR / 2 BA Modified A-Frame with Homewood `Ski In / Hike Out` Access, a 1970`s floating wood-burning fireplace, and Private Cedar Soaking Hot Tub!
Purchased by the current owners in 2012, a tremendous amount of love and care have been poured into the property`s restoration over the past decade. Throughout that process, the owners have sought to maintain a feeling of warmth, while at the same time, adding in newer amenities that nicely complement the original charm of the cabin. The end result is a perfect blend of modern comfort and retro style.
This unique home features natural wood accents that exudes charm and warmth along with modern appointments throughout. And with a separate bonus living area upstairs, you`ll have plenty of room to spread out. This house is perfect for couples, a group of friends or families alike! The house is very well equipped and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests.
Homewood ski enthusiasts will love how the property backs to the mountain and offers ski in / hike out potential along with snowshoeing on the historic 1960 X-Country Trail (assuming good snow coverage).

Booking guest must be 25 years of age or older.
Maximum 8 guests.
Community quiet hours from 9pm - 8am daily.
No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.
No smoking of vaping.
No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.
There is parking for 3 - 4 vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
No outdoor wood burning fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked, and bear mats activated) whenever not present in the home.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 6 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
There are steps that lead up from the parking pad to the deck / side entry door. During winter storms, the stairs and deck can pile with snow and will need to be shoveled in order to be maintained. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), the stairs may need to be shoveled. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.
