Disliked: Cleanliness
Nobody cleaned it
According to the host, there was a miscommunication with the cleaner. We had to shovel our way to the side door because the front door had 5 feet of snow against it. As we made our way in, we say towels piled on the kitchen counter, trash in the containers, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Making our way upstairs to the bedrooms we saw more towels on the floor, bedding piled on each bed, and a mysterious "crunchy" towel stuffed in a drawer. My wife and kids didnt come here to do chores, but they had to be done. We stayed up late to get all the bedding and towels washed. We also did the dishes so we could use them. Absolutely not what was promised. I contacted the host who apologized and said he would refund me. To my suprise, it was only 150. He made it sound like he would send a refund for the entire amount, which he got called out on and the promptly return the rest of our money. Aside from all that BS, the hot tub had trouble holding the heat. It dropped 5 degrees without jets in 1/2 hour so we didnt get too much time to relax in that. The free wood for the fireplace was nice. Only had to wade through 5 feet of snow and 15 feet away to get it. The chimney could use a sweep. A lot of smoke was trapped in the house causing allery problems for a few of us. Ive stayed in better hotels for cheaper. So take your chance if this is what you're looking for. Good Luck!
