Other Details to Note
Goat Farm Etiquette
This is a working goat farm! While you're welcome to view the goats from a distance or say hello (with supervision), please do not enter any fenced animal areas or private home areas unless invited. For your safety and the animals’, no unsupervised interaction is allowed. Additionally, petting the goats through the fence is welcomed, but please do not open the gates or feed the goats, no matter what they say, they are on a special diet and we don't want them to run away.
Nature-Friendly Stay
Being in the Hill Country means the occasional sighting of insects, critters, and wildlife is possible — especially near the creek or at night. We provide pest control services and encourage keeping doors closed.
Creek Access & Conditions
Cherry Creek is seasonal and water flow may vary depending on recent rainfall. While typically scenic and peaceful, it is not suitable for wading or fishing. There are times when the creek will run dry.
Security & Gated Access
The property is gated and secure. Security cameras are installed at the front entrance and driveway for safety, but there are no cameras in or near any living or outdoor gathering spaces.
Event & Photo Policy
Events, parties, and gatherings must be approved in advance and may be subject to additional fees. Commercial photography or filming (including influencer content) requires prior written permission and a location agreement.
Septic System
The home operates on a septic system. Only toilet paper should be flushed — no wipes, feminine products, or other materials.
Rural Location
While we’re just 40 minutes from San Antonio, this is a peaceful countryside stay. Cell service is generally strong, and Wi-Fi is fast, but occasional rural quirks (e.g., slower response times or lack of food delivery service from apps or GPS routing errors) may occur.
Pet Guests
Well-behaved pets are welcome! Please keep them leashed when outdoors and clean up after them. While the overall property is not fully fenced, there is a designated fenced backyard area where pets can safely roam off-leash under supervision. We kindly ask that pets are not left unattended outside. No more than 2 pets allowed.
No smoking is allowed in the home. Additional cleaning and/or damage charges may apply.
Emergency Contact
We live on-site in a separate home and are happy to assist with anything during your stay. You’ll have a direct number to reach us if needed.
