The condo is equipped with split AC for ultimate comfort, a convenient washer and dryer in-unit, and a fully equipped kitchen with an eat-up bar with additional seating making mealtimes a breeze after a day in the sunshine. Enjoy your private lanai with seating for four, perfect for dining al fresco or simply taking in the view.

Papakea’s unbeatable west Maui location lets you wake up to the sights and sounds of the Pacific, watch breathtaking sunsets from your lanai, and enjoy everything the islands have to offer. Walk along the beautiful shoreline or visit nearby Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas to enjoy their beaches, championship golf courses, fine restaurants, and shopping.

Other resort amenities include 2 swimming pools, 2 jacuzzis, lighted tennis courts, two 12-hole putting greens, and numerous picnic and barbecue areas complete with 6 gas grills around each pool. The resort’s extensive grounds provide plenty of space for relaxation, recreation, and making memories with family and friends.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating, and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

Please Note: Papakea Seawall Repair Project is scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026, and is expected to continue through approximately September 30, 2026, with additional phases extending beyond that timeframe.
Guests may experience construction activity Monday-Friday between approximately 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with some ocean-side work occurring as early as 6:00 AM based on tide conditions. During this time, there may be intermittent construction noise, heavy equipment, and temporary pathway or bridge closures as work progresses along the shoreline.
This important project is being completed to preserve and protect Papakea's oceanfront seawall. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

The view from this top unit is incredible and well positioned on the property. It has vaulted ceilings so it feels big. My family of five fit nicely and having the washer/dryer, modern kitchen and cool AC was excellent. The condo has lots of goodies included in the unit we found out when arriving (2 beach chairs, beach towels, 2 inner tubes, boogie boards, golf putters for the putting green course on site). It was nice and quiet in the property at night and early mornings for sleeping.

Great location and spectacular view from the Lanai. The unit was well kept, stocked, and clean. The host was responsive and friendly. The staff at the Papakea are all hard working and kind. We will be back.

The resort itself is lovely and the grounds are well kept. We really enjoyed the pools and spas, the putting greens, the grills, and the lounge chairs facing the ocean. The AC was nice. Unfortunately if we return we would not choose to stay in this particular unit again. Our entire trip was marred by a number of issues. The resort was given the wrong dates for our arrival so our parking pass was delayed. The front door lock was broken, the in-unit laundry was inoperable, the microwave was broken and then replaced by a second broken machine. On our fifth day we finally received a working microwave along with a bottle of hand soap for the kitchen that took four requests to get. The removable shower head in the main bathroom does not work either. I expect a vacation unit to have dated decor and some cosmetic flaws (like missing tile behind the toilet, crumbling grout in the floor, and rust in the tea kettle). I can even handle uncomfortable mattresses and scratchy furniture. The major issues we had with this unit were far beyond the regular vacation home flaws. Renters should also know that there are no extras in this unit. No extra pillows, minimal toilet paper and paper towels (when you run out you’re on your own to replenish), and very basic cooking supplies. While some very minor compensation was offered, our trip that we saved up for two years for, was marred by the issues. There are far too many rental options on the island to stay in one that causes more stress.
