My room faced the mountains, but the view was open enough to see both the hills and a bit of the Ala Wai canal, so I had no complaints. The room was clean and bright, the kitchen was easy to use, and plenty of bath towels were provided, which made my stay very comfortable. I stayed from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. Over the weekend, I enjoyed quiet breakfasts on the balcony, but on Monday, the construction noise from the 6th-floor recreation deck was so loud from early in the morning that I couldn’t have breakfast outside. The renovation is scheduled to continue until June 2026, and during this period, the hotel pool and jacuzzi are not available — something to keep in mind when booking. That was the only disappointing part. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay, and since most travelers in Honolulu are out during the day, the construction may not be a major issue for many guests.

This room had a kitchen and refrigerator and it had a few of the basic pots and pans. The wireless TV were good. The bed was nice. The furniture were quite old and worn, and the air conditioner was really noisy. On the other hand, the price is pretty good considering that many hotels charge much more than this but, I think I will look for a better place next time. This hotel consist of owner occupied units some of which are rented out. They vary quite a bit in quality according to people I spoke to and the owners are left to update the apartments themselves so you might get lucky.

비수기인지 얼리체크인도 가능했고 예약한룸보다 좋은 방을 받은거 같아요. 레노베이션도 되어 있었고 주방 용품도 갖추어져 있어요. 거실과 침실이 분리되어 있고 발코니 뷰도 아주 좋습니다. 차를 가지고 간다면 하루에 50달러 주차비가 들지만 주차장이 넓어서 편하게 다닐수 있어요.

Convenient location and friendly front desk staff. Each unit is privately owned so you can get a nice remodeled unit with everything you need or you can get one that is old, smelly and and in need of repair. Our black out curtains were old and moldy and wouldn't close, paint peeling and pull out couch was broken. Hotel provided a very small, old, lumpy roll away bed instead. Would not allow switching the room. Buyer beware.

The view was fantastic, air con was cool in the living room but not the bedroom so I brought me a fan. It would have been better if had ceiling fan, Also the bathroom couldn’t shut so we had to use a towel so guests from other building couldn’t look in while dressing. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay.

Terrible Stay – Do Not Recommend Let’s start with the basics: the bed, sheets, and pillowcases were old, stained, and torn. The comforter and blankets were rough, full of holes, and clearly long past their usable life. We specifically booked a room with a pull-out couch, only to find a big sign that said “Do not pull out”—completely defeating the purpose. The carpet was filthy and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed; dirt and dust were visible all around. The room smelled unpleasant, and the pillows were disgusting—so stained that even the old pillowcases couldn’t hide it. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Always liked the Banyan for the large apartment style rooms with kitchen. Check in staff was good. Lots of parking this time, it used to get full. The facility is old, but decent condition.
