Just got back from a12-night stay in this suite at the Waikiki Banyon. We opted against staying in a hotel because with two picky kids, we wanted to be able to make our own meals.
The building is a bit dated, sure, but it had everything we needed: free wi-fi, free parking, and the kids LOVED the pool and the little koi pond.
The mini mart on the main level is super handy and carries small packs of coffee filters, mini bottles of dish soap, small bottles of laundry detergent, etc. No need to buy full-sized items if you're only there for a couple of weeks.
The beds were comfy and the shower was great! And of course THE VIEW - that view was worth every penny.
If I were to make some suggestions, I would say that a drying rack with clothes pins would be handy to have in the suite. Some days, the wind was so strong, we couldn't leave our towels and bathing suits out on the lanai to dry without them blowing away! Another thing - and this might not be important to most, but I noticed that some furniture and decor items that were in the photos were not in the suite (the bright coral throw cushions weren't there, and the dresser was different). I understand that they may have been used for staging only, but I make my decisions from the photos.
Overall, this was a perfect place to stay for our family and we would rent it again if we ever return to Oahu!
