This Hotel has lots of “Charm” if Authentic Vintage it’s Your Vibe! Others might call it Dated, but We Enjoyed being Walking distance from the Waikīkī Beach, Lots of food options from local lil’ Restaurants to convenience stores and food trucks. Our double room did have a full kitchen and Refrigerator (if preparing food it’s your thing) Overall Great Value Option, for a budget lodging! We appreciated the Beach towels the hotel offers at the counter signed to your room, also Coin op, washer and dryer machine by the lobby and small pool the kids enjoyed on the last day!

it’s not a luxury hotel but it’s very cozy, they have live music on wednesdays and out of all the places, shops, events, restaurants that say they have live music, this hotel has the best, locals who grew up there singing hawaiian songs. We also missed our flight and got pushed to a later one, we didn’t want to book a new room just for a few hours but they did let us store our luggage there while we continued to explore. absolutely loved it and will be returning!!

Worst Hotel Room in my life

Rooms are rundown; sink chipped and rusted. My husband pulled the bed out to plug in my cpap machine and it was dusty and there was a pair of ladies underpants behind the bed. We were apparently over a bar and music started in the morning and went to at least midnight. Construction trucks worked all day - there was never any quiet. Elevator was broken both days of our stay in the afternoon. There were bugs (not roaches, but a different kind of little black ones). The water in the shower never got hot. The hotel is very old and has not been kept up. When booking the room, the pictures were of the outside and the lobby which have been renovated and are nice. But the rooms are the worst I have ever stayed in. I worked or the airlines before retiring, and stayed in 300+ hotel rooms per year, so I know what a good and bad hotel room is. Anyone who stays in this hotel will be disappointed.

It’s an old building. But the pictures are deceiving. The beds were horrible. My mom is disabled in a wheelchair and they had us on the 6th floor. We couldn’t change rooms. One day the elevator was down. Had to carry her down to the next level to use the other elevator that they had that only went up to the fifth floor. The only thing good was the location because it’s two blocks from Waikiki Beach. Hawaii is always awesome. Just not this hotel. The cleaning lady even told us to get our own towels.

The property is old, very old school. However if just a night or two and know it’s NOT fancy just a place to rest your head it’s not bad. If you are Bougie this is NOT the place for you. Great location and walkable to just about anything.

Royal Grove Waikiki is a low key, budget friendly hotel. The room we stayed has separate bedroom and kitchen area, one bed in each side . Very convenient and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again . Only pitfall is the room facing street is quite noisy.

Nice, old, little place for when you just need a place to sleep and shower. There is NO parking for your stay. Three minute parking right in front to drop off your luggage and they will give you a map to some places to park. There are a ton of places to visit and food within walking distance so overall I'd stay there again.

everything was really good on our stay. bed is comfortable and the room has a mini fridge and a microwave, which was great. very hard to find parking around though, but we noticed that the whole city is like this when becomes to parking so… not a exclusive problem. hotel is extremely close to the beach and all the stores and restaurants you can imagine. we loved our stay!

The room was clean. TV is placed at an angle not easily viewed from bed. However, minor. Room coffee packets are not offered. Although, there is a coffee maker. Need bring your own. Other than that it’s comfortable and very close to beach and restaurants. Mahalo
