Good for the price.

The room was what I expected for the price. Older furnishings, mis matched furnishings, odd arrangement of furniture. The windows are single pane so NOT energy efficient or noise friendly. The window next to the stove had a shear curtain that let in lots of light in the morning. I had to wait over an hour past check in time to get my room. The AC worked well however it was fairly loud. FYI, the door does NOT automatically lock like most hotel doors. You have to make sure you push the lock button before closing. I noticed a small sign st the front desk that stated they only clean the rooms every 5 days unless you want to pay $25 per cleaning (what happened to hotel standards?). Having said all that, the location is ideal to be in the heart of Waikiki. If you are not picky about a room this is a good find. Staff is nice but could be more friendly and welcoming.

This place is smaller than a lot of properties which adds to its retro charm. The room was LARGE and had a kitchen. It was a quick walk to the beach and dining. Because it is smaller, it is easier to get in and out of. Overall - a pleasant stay.

Room was nothing like the photos on Expedia. Doors wide open, anyone can walk in and access elevators and rooms. Small lock on door handle, screws coming out of small chain lock on door. Hinges coming out of bathroom door, tape on stove. Dirt on the floor. Felt unsafe, left as soon as we found a different hotel.

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel waiting room, halls, and rooms were all very clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. The parking was a little tricky, as we had to park in the suggested area a few blocks away. Overall, It was both a very pleasant stay and experience and would definitely recommend the Royal Grove Waikiki Hotel to others who may have an interest in staying in this area of town!

Its a very old hotel. Theres alot of homeless locals that stay there. Theres no parking and parking price is from $40 to $60 daily. Theres alot of restaurants near by. The pool closes to early .

The room that was given was not clean, wall's were so black in and around light switches and door knobs, bathroom were the toilet paper hanger had poop marks and god knows what else on the wall, shower is outdated, a sewer pooh small coming from the sink when you turing it on so we ended up using bottle water to brush teeth. Sink was detached from wall with paint peeling off wall, window cell in the shower was never even looked at or cleaned once! vary dust, mold and someone's nasty used pimple patch was left on there ..carpets full of stains, clearly should be replaced ASAP. We open the dresser to grab the clean extra blinket it was durty covered in some orange chips powder.. the sliding glass door was broken could not open it and it would not close fully. Maintenance guy look at it but he could not fix it so the one night we stayed it was horrible can hear everything/ bugs could also just get in.. the AC had black mold growing in and on the windows curtains. Our beds durty. we had 3 cleaners in our room at once like a clown car in a small space as they tried cleaning the room infrount of us arguing with me saying they did clean it. Fridge was broken leaking all over floor. Was woken up at 12 midnight and 5am due to the next door scream and tossing things at wall.. and so much more!
