I booked 2 rooms, upon check in they said they only had one on their records and I had to pull up my confirmation email to confirm. I checked in later at night and they ended up giving me a room that already had folks sleeping inside. Went downstairs to inform the person that checked us in and he said he was going to give us an upgrade but it wasn’t an upgrade. The rooms were also only cleaned once in our 4 night stay. But the extent of the cleaning consisted of making the bed and emptying the trash cans. It feels more of a motel instead of a hotel.

$50 per night valet parking, sometimes hard to find the valet person, hard to find a place in front to even use the valet. I had to drag down three heavy suitcases when I left, and no one was in sight to ask for help. NO ELEVATOR. Garbage route in the morning is LOUD. Room service after every three days, but it was clean. The beds are not good, very bouncy, and old.

Upside: Lovely staff! Super-nice Monday evening live music duo by pool/bar. Good location, without the corporate/high-rise atmosphere. No elevator, but assistance with luggage. Comfy bedding and good climate control in room. Good price for area. Downside: Older property with all that entails in terms of room carpet, shower. Functional, but old.

The rooms are a little dated but they were clean. There is no elevator so we had to walk up to our room on the 3rd floor. However the staff was very polite and welcoming and they helped take the bags up. The food and drinks by the pool was very good. It was perfect for our one night stay.

The first room we were given had dirty carpet and a sewer smell. After notifying the front desk they immediately transferred us to a much cleaner room, and helped with our luggage. The hotel has a convenient location and we liked the landscaping and koi pond.

Was hesitant at first at booking this hotel. I didn’t know what to expect as side from looking at the pictures especially for the price that I paid. Hotel is very convenient and walkable to places. All staff were wonderful and welcoming from valet staff to check in staff and the bar staff. Dakota and the other two bar tenders (forgot the other two guys’ names) that attended to us were wonderful and had some good recommendations of drinks. Check in agent were very welcoming. I forgot her name but when I asked for a late check out I was given a discount out of her own kind gesture. That was very kind and unexpected. Thank you! All in all stay was amazing and would likely consider booking this hotel again.

Its like walking into a Retro Hotel in the 1980;s awesome pool area, bar and food was excellent. Rooms are a good size , 3 storeys no lifts but manageable. easy access to shops, valet parking at a reasonable rate, live music a couple nights and a sneaky speak easy. Short staffed on the front counter, and rooms cleaned every other day but linen is freshed daily. great balconies facing inwards towards the pool area. White Sands Highly recommended.
