Nature lovers and those interested in culture will find a variety of activities for all ages in this small, picturesque village in the centre of the Kitzbühel Alps. Kelchsau is just a short distance from the SkiWelt Wilder-Kaiser Brixental, one of the largest and most popular ski areas in Austria. With over 280 kilometres of pistes and 90 lifts, it is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Kelchsau itself also offers a smaller ski station with its own lift and two pistes. Cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing in snow-covered forests are other highlights you can experience here.

In spring, summer and autumn, Kelchsau offers a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and kayaking. The mountains and forests around the valley are a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers.

Kelchsau also offers a good selection of traditional restaurants, a grocery shop and numerous farm shops where you can buy regional products (bread, honey, milk, yoghurt, cheese, bacon, mountain herbal tea and much more) directly from the farmer.

All in all, Kelchsau is a beautiful place known for its natural beauty and the range of leisure activities on offer. The short distance to the SkiWelt Wilder-Kaiser Brixental makes it a perfect base for skiers and snowboarders. We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is on the edge of a small village so close to a shop and hotel that does great food.The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean.Would recommend and we're hoping to return one day
