Beachfront Blue Moon Cabana

Blue Moon Cabana is a beachfront house for rent facing the Caribbean Sea in the lovely Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins, Belize. The cabana is centrally located in one of the most popular areas of Hopkins Village and is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, and other popular establishments.

It has a full-service kitchen (cook not included!), 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, a living room with a full-size futon, and a tiled bathroom. The cabana features an open floor plan designed to capture the constant Caribbean breezes, along with ceiling fans throughout to keep the space comfortable. Please note that there is no air conditioning, as the home is designed for natural airflow and a true tropical experience.

Enjoy your own private cabana right on the beach! You will no doubt be spending a lot of time in one of the hammocks out on the 8-foot-wide covered veranda that spans the entire front and one side of the cabana. Surrounded by windows, you will enjoy stunning views and refreshing sea breezes. Tastefully decorated and furnished with locally crafted mahogany furniture, Blue Moon Cabana has everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed while maintaining a Caribbean rustic charm.

The two bedrooms are separated by an enclosed bathroom, and bamboo curtain panels can be closed for additional privacy.

Baby Blue Cabana is an additional (smaller) one-bedroom cabana on the property, including a queen-size bed, bathroom, kitchenette, and front veranda. Situated behind Blue Moon Cabana, it enjoys sea views, has a separate walkway to the public beach, and is just steps from the sea. Baby Blue Cabana also features an open floor plan and is perfect for a single guest or couple. Staying in the larger beachfront cabana and need extra space? Baby Blue Cabana is a great option to keep additional guests close by.

Hopkins is a friendly and vibrant village, and because Blue Moon Cabana is located in the center, you can easily walk to everything. The area reflects authentic village life—mornings may begin with tropical birds and the occasional rooster, while evenings and weekends can bring a lively atmosphere from nearby restaurants, bars, and local gatherings, especially during holidays and special events.

If you’re looking to experience the culture of a local Belizean village, Blue Moon Cabana is the perfect spot. If you prefer a quieter or more resort-style experience, you may wish to explore accommodations on the north or south outskirts of the village.

Everything in the listing was completely accurate. Wonderful places to walk to near by. And we even had an incredible bioluminescent tour that was so easy to book with his uncle. Top notch personal experience. Also, check in and out couldn't have been easier.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! the cabana is comfortable, clean and lovely! And the town of Hopkins was amazing! Our stay at Blue Moon Cabana was great. Hopkins is a nice small town and BMC is right in the middle of it all. Great facilities, great beach and it is managed extremely well. We loved our stay at Blue Moon. Mirko was easy to Communicate with and was quick to respond. We booked our tours and shuttle through him. We loved having the deck to chill out on, and the fresh coconut juice in the fridge for when we arrived. We’d stay here again.

Beautiful kid safe beach right out your front door! Great location, really cool little house, and Mirko can organize anything for you. The only downfall is 4am karaoke from the bar next door, but that only happened on Friday and Saturday, and if I hadn’t been travelling with my children, I might have gone over for a song.

This cabana offers unobstructed views of the sea along with the sound of waves that can be heard day and night. It is centrally located in Hopkins - walking distance to many excellent places to eat. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a laid back trip to enjoy the local Garifuna culture.

Fun beachfront cabana

This was the perfect place for my wife and I, and our eight-year-old daughter. Located close to some good restaurants, and the beach out front is perfect. Somebody comes regularly to clean the beach and rake the sand to keep everything tidy. Patio is great for hanging out, and the cabana is cozy and inviting. Would definitely come back.

Great little hide away!

Had a great time and it was a great place to simply unwind and relax. Had a few issues with noise from the little place to the north but the complementary ear plugs were greatly appreciated. Great location close to shops and restaurants and the kitchen is nicely equipped if you want to eat in. It was a little warm with no air but the sea breezes made for some comfortable nights. Would surely stay again.

Perfect beachfront location

This is our second time visiting Hopkins. Last time we stayed at the Baby Blue Cabana in the back but this time we booked Blue Moon. The location is perfect. Right on the beach, in town, close to restaurants and the grocery store and a produce stand right across the street. We love being in town. Everyone is so friendly and the location can’t be beat. We can’t wait to come back and stay at this property again!

Location and a great beach cabana

Two couples stayed 6 nights. On days we had to get out early we were able to make breakfast at home. Many evenings we ended on the large patio with the ocean breeze. You can literally watch the sunrise from bed. VERY secure which my husband appreciated. Next door to a local bar, but late night karaoke on Sunday and a birthday party later in the week is the only time it was noticeable.

Loved this cabana and the location in Hopkins

LOVED this cabana with it's beach location, shaded veranda, and the sound of the waves and the sea. We especially enjoyed the veranda and spent many hours talking and reading while listening and watching the waves. We loved being in the village of Hopkins, enjoyed the local restaurants and the local culture. The cabana was super clean, Mirko was very helpful, reviewed everything with us, and was available if we needed him!
