The entire establishment was dirty. Our room happened to be directly next to construction and although the noise was tolerable the smell was horrendous. Our toilet flooded the bathroom every time you flushed. This was reported numerous times to no avail. The only bright light to the entire stay was Shane, the exceptional valet driver.

I have been staying here 45 years and have not been in years. We were assigned a room down a dark hall with construction plastic 5 feet from our door. The hotel might be st 20% occupancy tonight. Second room is hot. Gave up on requesting a decent room. Chairs in our room are from the banquet facility. $200/night with parking and this place should be $75.

Small broom closet room. Very dirty, paint strips hanging from ceiling. 3 Inches of dirt by base board under bed, dust everywhere else Bathroom nasty, Parking in old unsafe building was charged 52 dollars to park one night. Valet not helpful

The property was nice and probably beautiful in its day. They have not kept up with renovations abd the wall paper is peeling and the paint and plaster is failing off the walls in tbe rooms. The bathroom looks like nothing was done to it since the hotel opened 100 yeaes ago. You can modernize spaces while maintaining tbe old world charm.

The place really needs to be improved, the property was probably lovely in its day but its age is showing. There is a renovation poster indicating they are working on a renovation but it wasn’t evident

Line for check in took us about 45 minutes. Then when we got to our room we couldnt find it so asked a housekeeper who told us she was still cleaning our room and that the room she was cleaning was our room, so we left our luggage and took off. Apon returning later, we saw that that wasnt our room but now our luggage was locked inside. So we went back downstairs waited in line AGAIN and had to have someone come up to unlock ot and get our luggage. Then later went to hot tub. No towels. So i called the front desk. Waited a good 30 minutes before someone showed up and had to call twice. Wasted half of our getaway dealing with bad hotel staff.... terrible!

Don't Fall For This Hotel

Parking is ridiculous and employees won't be honest and say you're on your own. Elevators were broken this morning and we had to carry everything from the 3rd floor down three flights of steps. Then had to walk two blocks to our car. This hotel is quite dirty. The carpets were stained, tub was stained, doors, walls were dirty. The first floor is beautiful, but past that, it seems very neglected.

Its what youd expect

We love the historical atmosphere of the Arlington and enjoy the bands on saturday nights in the lobby. Our only complaint this trip was that our room had visible water damage and smelt strongly of mold. As we spent very little time in the room we went about our buisness and had fun. Just be aware that the hotel is old and likely to have some peculiarities because of it.

This hotel was absolutely filthy. Not just stained carpet and moldy peeling wallpaper and paint, but actual grime and dirt in the bathroom, etc. terrible mattress. Lumpy pillows.
