Stay and walk to Oaklawn Park

Bed was comfortable. Lights were very dim; need higher wattage bulbs. Bathroom heater worked only about 2 minutes before shutting off. Towels were awful: clean but scratchy and rough. Pleasant employees in housekeeping and breakfast, but clerks in office seemed too busy or irritable.

Wonderful

This is a very nice place to stay. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. We had a double as we were with another couple. FYI you have to pay extra for a 2nd vehicle. Very hot and fresh breakfast that is served cafeteria style. It was all good. Our favorite thing about this hotel is we can walk right over to the casino and horse races.

I am disabled and specific requested a first floor. Got a second. I could not climb the steps without having to pull myself up. They had no elevator. Rooms are dated. Staff split their attention at checkin due to double billing one client and unchecking me. Staff pointed at technology as source of all problems. No accountability. Didn’t even know I was a many times returning client. That will never happen again. Will never stay here again.

Frustrated.

My only complaint is that the heater kept going on and off and really made it hard for me to sleep, even though zi sleep with headphones on. I have stayed there many times and never had the problem before.
