Warm rooms

The hotel is nice and clean, and the staff all seemed to be great. The only issue I had was the room temperature. When I arrived, the room was 76 degrees, so I checked the thermostat. It was set to 69. Each day the room temperature fluctuated between 76 during the day, to 74 at night…no matter what the thermostat was set at. I asked the front desk twice if this was normal or if something was wrong or broken. The second time I asked they informed me there is a “master” thermostat that controls the entire hotel. (I assume this saves an huge amount of energy during the day when most rooms are empty.). The issue was that it never dropped below 74 at night which was a little warm to sleep in.

Very fancy vibe so we felt cool, but when I went down in the morning to purchase an extended check out time I was told changing from 11am to 2pm was 75$. I was also told they were going to hold 100$ in case of damages. It’s the day after so I check my bank account when I got back home, I was charged 93.94 not 75$, I also have not gotten a deposit back.

My go-to hotel in DT Houston

My second stay in the past six months —- pleasant and clean rooms, very comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and walk-in shower. Stayed on 15th and 17th floors respectively on two trips; a room numbered XX05 - XX10 will have a south view towards the baseball stadium (less than 2 blocks away).
