🚨 ALERT: Birthday Celebration Turned Roach Nightmare — THINK TWICE Before Staying Here! 🚨 What was supposed to be a fun family-and-friends birthday celebration quickly turned into a roach motel experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Hobby Airport on Monroe Boulevard, Houston, Texas. Imagine stepping into the shower only to be greeted by a roach crawling around the bathroom. Disgusting, disappointing, and completely unacceptable—especially from a hotel carrying the Hilton name. Who wants to shower like that? We immediately notified hotel staff and followed up with emails to corporate. The response? Apathy. No real concern, no meaningful resolution—just a sense that this is somehow normal business practice. It’s not. This place needs to be fumigated ASAP. Cleanliness and guest safety should be non-negotiable, and this stay fell far below even basic standards. Anyone thinking of staying here should seriously think twice. A birthday celebration shouldn’t come with unwanted pests and indifference. I want my money back!

Staff at check in was amazing, the bartender (Sonia) was great. Something that stood out, it wasn’t crowded but a few people ordering food. Sonia was working bar, taking food orders and cooking. Not sure if this is normal or cook called out. The reception desk person that evening did not come over to help her but stood at desk and just wandered.

Room wasn’t cleaned well. Pieces of plastic and crumbs still on carpet around bed area. 1 of the bath towels and a piece of hair stuck in it when I unfolded to use & the shower floor pan was very worn and discolored, along with some mold in the corner of the shower wall.
