The place was adequate, but a little disappointing. We were a little surprised when we learned the morning of our trip that we would not have a guaranteed check-in at 4:00 pm, as the website indicated, but instead were informed that we would receive a message between 4 and 6 pm telling us when the unit would be available. We had planned to go straight from the airport to our vrbo, which would have been just after 4, but instead, we had to find a place to hangout until we got the message that it was ready (which came at about 5:00 pm). Not a huge deal if we knew this beforehand, but when the site says check in at 4:00 pm, we expect to be able to check in at 4:00 pm. The unit was adequate, but the host(s) did little to make you want to come back. For instance, they provide coffee and a coffee pot, but no filters for the coffee pot. We had to ask for an extra roll of toilet paper (there was only 1 for 2 people for 5 nights), there was no bath mat, the towels were very thin, and no towel racks in the bathroom, so we just had to lay the hand towel on the edge of the sink, and dry our towels on the backs of the chairs and doorknobs. We also encountered a few pests (ants and roaches), which I know sometimes can’t be avoided in Houston, but it was just one more thing. None of these are deal-breakers necessarily, but with just a little more effort, the place could be more welcoming, which is what we have experienced at other places.
