The Lancaster Hotel is the best choice for those visiting the performing arts venues in downtown Houston. The Houston Symphony and Alley Theater (hosting theatrical productions) are literally across the street. The Houston Grand Opera (hosting six major operating productions each year) and the Houston Ballet are two blocks away. The Hobby Center hosting larger theatrical productions is just a few blocks away. There are restaurants nearby, including Cultivated F B in the hotel, and major museums including the world-class Museum of Fine Arts are available in the museum district easily accessible by the light rail system.

Really like this hotel and would stay again. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and not too noisy even though it was near the elevator. The door must be thick. The windows have another pane that keeps out the street noise.

We had a lovely stay at the Lancaster. Check in was swift and precise, the room was spotless, and the complementary sacks a welcome surprise. Location next to Jones Hall meant it was only a 2 minute walk to the event. Bar was small but the staff attentive and fast. We will definitely come back.
