The stay was not bad, but it was not the greatest. When paying for a city view. I would expect most of the city but what we got was a large mural wall and then some of the city. It was pretty disappointing. Especially when paying over $200 for a night. When arriving I noticed there was no fridge. Which is very surprising. I called the front office they asked if we would like to be delivered one which was nice. But when it was delivered I guess they thought the best spot was to put it right in the middle of the hall and in front of the door, and when we asked if that’s where it would be placed. They had an attitude and had to answer as in we were dumb to ask that. Not sure why you would take the fridge out of the hotel in general. Everything seems to be a bit outdated, the couch had stains all over and the shower heads seem a bit rough with ridiculous amount of sounds when turning the water on. We just tried to make the best of it. The bar was nice and the food was great and the front desk also very kind. I personally don’t see my self ever booking again here. I would definitely bring the fridges back seems like a very important part for guests staying there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing stay at The Laura Hotel. Everything from the ambiance to the service was top-tier. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located, and the staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout my stay. My room was comfortable, stylish, and exactly what I needed for a relaxing trip. This experience exceeded my expectations, and I truly enjoyed every moment here. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston!

I took a star away simply because for a luxury hotel that charges destination fees per stay I shouldnt have to ask for a microwave or mini refrigerator. It was easy to get the mini refrigerator due to a young staff helping me at the desk. The microwave on the other hand the next day was hard to get due to the front desk older staff not even attempting to help me find one and telling me the hotel had absolutely no microwaves. It took someone not working the front desk to find someone to bring me a microwave to my room. May not be important to others, but for me it is when I book at a hotel. Besides that everything else was great. The breakfast, the bar and grill, the hotel room, the shower, the partnership Laura hotel has with Lifetime Fitness gym, the beautiful design of the building and how its connected to other business/restaurants is definitely a good enough reason to book it.

Cleaning crew did not come once to straighten up the room during entire duration of stay ( 2 Days ) no mini fridge in the room, & the valet was super slow when it was not busy and they had fully staff on site. We inquired about a car service to help with us “ Getting Around “ and did not hear back. I would not revisit.

You are required to buy an extra $25 convenience pass. It gives you access to the gym and $13 voucher to the restaurant. We weren’t there long enough to use the voucher so we didn’t want to pay, but it’s not optional, just a classy money grab gimmick for such a fancy hotel.. The hotel itself and staff and location are wonderful.
