We had such a fun stay! It was my husband, our two boys, and me — and from the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The location was easy to find, and both check-in and check-out were an absolute breeze.Our host Eric deserves a special shout-out! He was genuinely one of the kindest, most jovial people we’ve met. You could feel how excited he was to have us there — and the highlight of the whole trip was definitely him teaching our boys how to shrimp and crab right off the backyard dock. They’re still talking about it!The house itself is old, eclectic, and full of charm. Every room has its own adorable theme, and we loved discovering all the quirky little features throughout the place.A couple things worth noting: the home has lots of original fixtures and quite a few stairs, so it might be tricky for seniors or very young children who aren’t steady on steps. But for us, it added to the adventure.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and made memories we’ll never forget!

We were disappointed. A big family with time would love this place. We were looking for something more comfy. Unexpectedly the property manager was staying in part of the property. Even if this is allowed we would have liked to know up front. It’s supposed to hold at least 10 and one of the rooms was taken up .

Fun times!

This property is really fun and eclectic. Captain Eric was very welcoming and set everything up perfectly for our gathering. I loved the homes tributes to him and his wife’s life. We fished, crabbed, had a fire, enjoyed the cool lighting in the evening relaxing on the swing, kitchen was well stocked with wares, the massage chair was AMAZING, we played so many rounds of pool and finally retired to our themed rooms where we slept comfortably! It was a great weekend.

Very fun property

I loved all the games available to play at this house. The sitting areas outside were very relaxing and at night all of the lights are so pretty. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Also, all the different themed rooms were so fun! I look forward to staying here again next time I'm in Kemah!

Fun house good location

The home was as advertised with many bedrooms and a fun house for everyone. The speciality rooms created by Eric and Mary, his wife, made great conversation with our family during our stay. Eric was a great host. Any problems he was there to help out. The children enjoyed fishing off the dock, Eric's tips for fishing and crabbing, , the history of the home and the fun loving guy Eric. The home's location was good with easy access to the major roads and in a quiet neighborhood. There were some minor issues that we discussed with Eric. OVerall, we would certainly keep the home on our list for a visit to the Houston area.
