Online check seemed in a bit dubious but was legit and relatively easy. Room 101 was very nice, Bed is a standard double, 4 poster, comfy. Great blackout curtains. Windows look into a quiet closed yard. Bathroom adequate and clean. Plenty of hot water, strong shower

Hotel room door needs changing. Air conditioning poor so heat regulation difficult because it was right at the top of the hotel. View not great.

Very disappointing hotel we arrived for four night stay and our room was in the attic up five flights of stairs the last set were very steep we asked to be moved but were told because we were staying four nights they didn’t have another room the room itself was very shabby no shower !! Just a bath with a shower on the taps !! As a couple in our sixties it was a bad experience

Brilliant hotel

Only stay 1 night,but was really a pleasant stay.Everything you need,friendly staff and intend to stay there for a longer break.

Disappointing stay

I decided to take my 5yr old daughter with me to brighton for a holiday. I chose the Brunswick, paid for two nights.I could see from the pics it looked dated but I didn't mind as long as it was comfortable and clean. When we got in the room I could see everything looked worn and old,curtain hanging down where one of the hooks had come off,old bathroom with replacement toliet seat that didn't match, holes in the lino,wardrobe leveled off with cardboard underneath.could go on and I wish I had taken some pics. I got into bed with my daughter hoping for a good night's sleep but mattress was so worn that my daughter kept rolling into the middle,the springs were digging into every bone in my body especially ribs,it was painful. In the end I put some pillows on the floor and slept on the floor which was more comfortable.I was thinking of leaving but I didn't want to disturb my daughter she was tired and needed sleep. In the morning I spoke to the night manager. I politely explained how I had a very uncomfortable night & didn't want to spend my 2nd night there.she offered me another room and I said I didn't want to pay for 2nights when I spent one on the floor. She said she wouldnt refund me as she's offered an 'alternative' even though i was only asking for a refund for the one night that i wasn't going to stay there! Not the one spent on floor! I asked her to come and feel the mattress she said 'no I don't need to' she wouldn't even come and see the problem. She didn't care
