The home was not clean, the dishes were dirty. We could only use half the house for the first month because the other half was not heated. The lock on the front door worked sometimes so we had to leave it unlocked when we went away. The washer drain plugged and it backed up into the house, then the washer quit. A repair person was sent. The beds were comfortable, but the rest of the furniture was very old and uncomfortable. In February, the air conditioning ran for 24 hours but was not cooling. We checked the filter and it had 2 inches of dirt on it. We replaced the filter and it was fine. On the back screened in porch, a dirty kitty litter box was left. Our water was shut off for 24 hours on March 23, 2026 because after THREE MONTHS the new owners did not put it in their name. We had to go buy water to get us through 24 hours. We were told the yard was totally fenced in, not true. Therefore, when the dogs had to go out, we had to go with them because they could escape. There is a large area with no fencing and much of the wood fence is rotten. The yard was very unkept. There were chunks of broken cement blocks just randomly piled around the yard and the wooden fencing was rotted at the bottom and every neighborhood cat came under the fence and used the yard for a litter box. On a positive note, we didn’t have to shovel snow for three months. I believe we deserve some compensation!
