Drive Hawk's Nest on Route 97 — a serpentine cliff road 300 feet above the Delaware River that has to be seen to be believed. Paddle or tube the Delaware itself, one of the last wild and scenic rivers in the region. Hike Minnewaska State Park and Sam's Point, with 50+ miles of trails, sky lakes, and four-state views. Explore the Bashakill wetlands, where bald eagles and 200+ bird species make their home. In fall, Hawk's Nest becomes one of New York's most celebrated leaf-peeping drives. Every season tells a different story.

When you're ready to eat, Port Jervis is minutes away — Fox N Hare Brewing for craft beers, Fogwood & Fig for scratch-made plant-based food, Two Rivers Grille for a proper dinner.
