$200 hidden deposit

Nowhere on the website says there is a deposit, but there’s a $200 deposit. I paid this in cash so I could get it back immediately when checking out. This was a quick stay, just for sleeping while I headed to my destination. I was there for approximately 11 hours. The actual room was just ok. Bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise, but the WiFi was good. Upon checking out, the staff was rude and took a LONG time. I needed to get on the road, so of course I was annoyed and a bit frustrated for the long wait while they investigated my room. I just wanted my money back so I could get on the road, and they acted like this was inconvenient. When I voiced my frustration, she said if I continued with my attitude she would mail the deposit back. Well threatening a customer is never a good idea. I paid the deposit in 4 50 bills, and she gave me a crumpled up wad of $5 and 10 bills. I got the impression they wanted to steal my money, but couldn’t find a reason to not give me my deposit back. Corporate should look into their deposit practices, and check their employees attitudes and ride customer service.

Clean

Clean rooms with faux wood floors and clean white duvet cover. We had a good mattress but our adult kids next door got a lumpy one. Furnishings are old with beat up lampshades. Breakfast was pretty good.

Snow Day

We traveled to the area specifically to see snow with our 4 year old granddaughter. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. It was a great visit. The room was comfortable, warm and very quiet. We had a nice breakfast every morning. There were several rooms besides our that had pets with them and we never heard a sound. We would defiantly stay there again.

Down hill

We have stayed here for over a decade while traveling to and from home. It’s the same mattresses or just crappy ones now. Nothing has been updated. It’s always been reliable until the last couple of years. I think this will be our last stay.

This hotel is great for traveling, it is easy on/easy off from the highway with quite a few food options nearby, including a few within walking distance. The rooms are spotless and the front desk staff is very nice.
