Families will love hopping aboard the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Steam Railway, which travels to the wild, windswept Dungeness –home to Derek Jarman’s iconic Prospect Cottage. The Kent Downs AONB boasts villages - Lympne, Saltwood and Elham, for outstanding countryside walks. For dramatic coastal adventures, the White Cliffs (Dover), Samphire Hoe and imposing Dover Castle are just 10.5 miles away. Fancy a city day out?
