About this space
Our refurbished villa home sits alongside a rainforest called La Furnia, above the 16th century pueblo, Icod de Los Vinos.

We offer a peaceful, retreat-like stay, with an interior that boasts wood floors and an abundance of natural light. The panoramic vistas include: the Atlantic Ocean, the Teide, vineyards and historical towns.

Stunning views, outdoor hot bathtub and shower, swimming pool, BBQ, many nooks, patios for reading, eating, and drinking.

It is the ideal private getaway.
The space
This 1750 fine architectural house has been carefully remodelled with all natural local materials, blending it with the natural environment. Sitting on top of a basalt volcanic cave and surrounded by a natural tropical forest and vineyards the place offers many patios and nooks with spectacular views.
Guest access
Guests have access to roam the entire property. The garden and fruit trees are available for you to enjoy and harvest: Oranges, Lemons, Mulberries, Mangos, Avocados, Papayas, Banana, Guavas, Figs, Grapes, Tamarillos and tropical flowers are found in the property, which fruit and bloom on their respective seasons.
Other things to note
The house was own by a French Artist who lived there for 15 years. His paintings and sculptures are embedded in the property enhance the natural beauty of this property. His work has inspired us to remodel the place using only organic natural materials. Other artsy details can be found scattered throughout the house. Our intention is to provide a spa like natural environment in an organic setting.
The place is close to downtown Icod yet it feels far away from any hustle and bustle. The last 100 meters of drive way is narrow and it can be uncomfortable at first, but it gets easier. One has the option of parking on the main road and walking in.
During your stay at this villa, you'll be within walking distance of Ancient Dragon Tree. Enjoy features like an outdoor pool, a hot tub, and laundry facilities. The villa includes amenities such as free WiFi and a private pool.

Mixed feelings

As the title says, mixed feelings on our stay during the summer. The house itself is charming, view was nice, but we also experienced some negatives: • only 1 day before arrival the owner mentioned that the pool was not heated. With water temperature being very cold, it was a disappointment. The kids used the pool only 3 times. It was one of the main reasons for booking the house. If we would have known, we would not have booked the house. • very close to the house, there is a dog shelter. During the night the dogs kept on barking which kept us awake too often. Nothing that the owner could probably do about it but for us it was very disturbing. * when looking at the map, the distance to the city center seems close but with large (steep) height differences you always have the take the car * the house has a septic tank and you need to put the toilet paper in the bin. Not mentioned in the description and is not really hygienic. * The rooms though were spacious, nice and clean. * garden was also nice. * reaching the house with the car is challenging because of the turn you have to make. Make sure that if you have a rental car that it is all risk insured.

Magnfique séjour

Une Magnfique maison décorée avec goût avec une belle conservation historique du bien. Les hôtes sont très accueillant et serviables et répondent volontiers à toute demande ou question. La cuisine et très bien équipée avec une belle vue sur la terrasse. La piscine et la terrasse extérieure sont parfaites, rien à redire. Les chambres était très propres comme le reste de la maison. Seul point négatif, nous pensons que le réservoir d’eau à proximité de la maison attire des insectes. Nous avons été piqués pendant la nuit ce qui n’était pas agréable. Les fenêtres devraient avoir des moustiquaires. Sinon, c’est un séjour parfait que nous avons passé dans cette maison dans les hauts de Icod de los Vinos ! Séjourner là- bas semble être un super moyen de visiter l’île de Tenerife !
