We’ve stayed here several times now and it’s where we’ll continue to stay when we visit. It’s always clean and comfortable, quiet, and a nice backyard for the pup. it’s close to town and you can take a short walk to a coffee / breakfast spot down the road in the morning. It’s a perfect place to stay.

Great place. From the warm, cozy environment, to the huge yard, that my doggies loved. The bed was just right for this Goldilocks with back arthritis. The heater/fireplaces in the bedroom and livingroom were perfect for setting a mood and warmth. The location is great for a trip to town and also for a trip to Palm Desert. I grew up in the Poconos in Pennsylvania and this charmer took me back in time to childhood memories. Thanks for that. I’ll be back.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It was cozy without feeling cramped, and the location was close to town while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, and we especially loved that our furbaby was able to run around and enjoy the backyard. Communication with the host was easy and clear, and they provided great recommendations on where to eat and sip nearby. Overall, it was a great weekend getaway and we would absolutely stay here again.

We truly recommend staying at Whispering Pines. Our little family of 4 decided to get away from the busy city life and spend Christmas 2025 in Idyllwild. This cabin was the perfect place! It was rustic, cozy, beautiful and fully equipped. Everything we wished for and more! Jay was an amazing host. He gave us great recommendations. Communication was great throughout our trip.
