Reed's on the River Cabin 7

Completely renovated log cabin located on the beautiful Sturgeon River. Cabin originally built in the 1940's and remodeled in 2021. It has the charm of the old cabin but with updated inside, plumbing, electric, furnishings and amenities. Reed's on the River is located on 350 ft. of the Sturgeon River with 6 other cabins on the property to rent. All cabins have unobstructed views of the river where you can fish or end your tubing/kayaking adventure at your front door.
The cozy cabin is a perfect spot to visit May through October as the weather is wonderful. Please note we allow 6 guests, however, the futon is small in the living room. The Sturgeon River is very well known for it's fishing, especially in the Spring and the Fall. It is also the fastest flowing river in the lower peninsula of Michigan making it ideal for tubing and adventurous kayaking. The leaves changing in October is a -must see. You will have your own private firepit with chairs. We have worked hard to provide comfort, fun, beautiful grounds and service so that you can make life long memories.
We will be available for anything you might need. We do sell firewood and fire starting supplies in our office.
We are very pet friendly but over the years we have been renting, unfortunately, we've had a few misbehaving pets that have resulted in us having to adopt a pet policy and a pet fee. We charge $25/night, per pet, with a maximum fee of $250. Upon booking, please call us and we will send policy form and collect payment.
Like other cabins in Indian River, we are located off a highway. With the highway comes some traffic noise. Most guests say the peaceful river setting offsets any noise.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.
