I called the property directly just before booking 2/22. I made sure to verify with staff that the pool would be OPEN and there would be no planned maintenance. A big part of my family’s trip was to utilize the pool. Upon arrival, I was informed that as of 3/3 the pool had been closed and was planned to be closed for maintenance. I spoke with the front desk associate about my concern. And I was told the pool has had a leak and they finally found someone to fix it. The issue is, there are multiple other options in the area with pools, and many more cheaper without pools. I booked a place with an open pool for my child as that was what she was looking forward to. Or I could’ve saved a lot more money and just booked a property without a pool since this property’s pool was not in service. I feel as if I had paid for and picked this property and didn’t get the value for what I paid. Unrelated the property and signage is confusing, we walked around for 20 minutes trying to find the front desk as more than half of their elevators were out of order. The room itself was okay, the bathroom smelled, and the ceiling was coming apart. I can say the only positive about this property is the free breakfast that was served.

I’ll always be an Embassy Suites fan, but this location needs some TLC. The staff was fantastic, front desk and housekeeping were extraordinary. The parking garage/situation leaves something to be desired. A set of elevators being down during the Big Ten Tournament was less than optimal. The area around the hotel could use some beautification, better/modern lighting and a some attention.

Our room was not cleaned and we had to call down to get towles. It also would have been nice if the pool was open. And with only two elevators working sometimes the wait was pretty long.

Not Worth The Cost!!!

Almost $300 a night PLUS $46 to park. Only had 1 working elevator so you would wait forever to get to your room, no one greeted us when we arrived so we waited with a luggage cart trying to figure out how we were supposed to get all of our bags up an escalator to get to the front desk and check in, tons of kids running around screaming and slamming doors throughout the night so I got no sleep whatsoever, there was a big hole in the wall of our room and the paint on the ceiling in our shower was chipping and falling off. Very disappointing

Try to think of a better process for check in. Driving in was crazy ridiculous and a mess. Maybe have an employee at the ramp. Allow one person to check in while the other person in the vehicle is on the side.
