In the room that housed the shower, there was no towel bar, so nothing to hang a towel on. There were no bars on or inside the shower to hold onto. In the shower, what was labeled as hot water was cold, and what was labeled as cold water was hot. When checking out, the clerk did not thank me for the 2 night stay or ask if everything was okay with the room. When I told her what was wrong, she told me “all walk-in showers are like that”….I guess she was referring to no bars to hold onto or no towel bars in the shower room? She did send someone up to check out the hot/cold water mislabeling. No refund was offered. We will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express Ever again!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. When Im back in the area I will definately stay here. GREAT people, hot breakfast, coffee 24/7, comfortable sitting area by fireplace, close to shopping/Indy/Carmel/Westfield/athletic events and best of all a very reasonable price.

Staff nice. Rooms need to be kept up. Bathroom needs new paint. Rust looking stuff on outside corners of shower. Caulk going bad around shower and vanity area. Just needs to be repainted. Many more things that don’t affect stay but just looks like little effort to maintain rooms.

Room smelled of fecal matter upon arrival, right side of bed broken and slanted down, shower head terrible and barely working. Called service desk immediately and was not offered a different room and was told to just tell mama her in the morning at check out. When checking out manager made us feel as if we were lying, said she didn’t smell anything in the room and the bed was not broken it was the mattress pad. I stated we had been in the room showering and spraying perfume and cologne from night before so of course the smell isn’t going to be the same. She offered points or 15% off of room. We will not be staying here anymore.

Room was nice other than the bathroom. Hair in shower drain and dirt in corners built up. Breakfast was horrible. They had no milk available, sausage was hard and dry and not a good selection of other choices. Eggs were watery also.

The hotel is in a great location for shopping and nearby family, however the hotel maintenance of rooms is lacking. We returned to our room at the end of the day and found our door ajar with our belongings inside due to a faulty door latch. Our son's room next door had a similar problem with the room door not latching. Some room amenities (shower shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc) were not kept refilled. We reported these issues to managers but doubt they were addressed.

Maybe the best and friendliest check in ever. The rooms and the hotel its self were great. Breakfast is where the issues came up, the pancake machine was broken, which I get stuff happens, so I decided to get a bowl of cereal, no milk,I say something to the attendant, she said they were out and walked away. I decide I'll just get a glass of juice, the machine only gave concentrate. Again I ask the attendant, who shrugs and again walks away. So I go to the front desk and let them know everything, the let me know the oj is a known issue and usually theres water and they let you know, and then she runs to the store to milk, super easy.
