My husband and I have been using VRBO for a while now. The one thing we always noticed was the owners taking pride in their property by updates. This house is still decorated from the 90’s as you can tell by the furniture and decor. The interior would make a huge difference with a simple fresh coat of paint. You can see years of patch up jobs on the walls, chipped corner walls, stained furniture, broken furniture, holes in window and door screens, tape and ban aids holding together broken items. And those games included with the house sit outside in the hot garage with spider webs everywhere. The bedrooms have an oder to the carpets, like pet urine. The ceiling fan in living room is barely hanging, it wobbles when on. And there’s a film of grime and dirt everywhere. Being there for 5 days let me notice something every day. We wanted to grill but it hadn’t been cleaned in years/months?!. And lastly, the location of the house is next to the transfer station. Which meant early loud noise and tons of workers coming and going. Does not make for having your tea outside pleasant. We were never told about the key to the pool so we didn’t go. This is the first time we WILL NOT return to this property.
