Nestled in Melrose, this delightful country house/chateau offers a brilliant escape for guests. With 1 cozy bedroom featuring a queen bed and bunk bed, along with a comfortable living room with a sofa bed, this gorgeous property is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Enjoy amenities like heating, WiFi, and AC, making your stay convenient and enjoyable. Our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in Melrose/Keystone Heights/Gainesville. We are 40 minutes from Gainesville which is perfect for UF game days. We are also one hour from St. Augustine and the beaches and roughly 2 hours from Universal and Disney. The property is 20 acres with the host also on property for any needs. There is a wonderful pool on site for guest use as well as the hobby farm where you can interact with many of our friendly farm animals. We are kid friendly and encourage and invite to join us in our daily farm activities including gathering fresh eggs each morning. We also have a private 15 acre lake. You can bring your canoe or kayak and explore a pristine environment. For bird watchers we routinely have 20-30 resident species as well as dozens more migratory birds including the occasional bald eagle.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Flamingo Lake. You'll find features like an outdoor pool. The vacation home offers a private pool and a kitchen.

Lovely guest house

Our stay was wonderful! The home is spacious and was perfect for my husband and I. Plenty of cookware and dishes in the kitchen and the host brought us fresh quail eggs one morning. It was so fun to wake up and visit the goats, pigs, turkeys and Nellie the cow before heading out for the day. Highly recommend.

Perfect Get Away Experience

We had a great time. Kids enjoyed the pool and loved the farm animals. Plenty of room to prepare meals and a large table to sit the entire group. Host was attentive and responsive to all request. Wish we could have stayed a few more days just to relax and admire the animals. A perfect #10 as a VRBO.

Fabulous place! I highly recommend it.

We loved our stay. Aaron made us feel so welcome, including giving us farm fresh eggs for our breakfast and introducing us to his family's farm animals. He even let me hand feed the baby goats - SO cute. Their property is rural, peacefully quiet, and quite beautiful. The house is charming and rustic, with a fully stocked kitchen and wonderful touches like fresh flowers and some homemade jam. The water has a slight sulphur smell, but I grew up with well water and it's no big deal. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillow options. Everything was so smooth, from booking to check in to leaving. We will definitely return and stay again, it is a wonderful place. I highly recommend staying here.

Loved this property. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very accommodating and made us feel safe and at home. The animals were great and it was a little oasis. Loved the saltwater pool
