We had a nice room, large windows . Bed was soft but comfortable. Good breakfast and dinner was available in dining room . Cosy bar . Nice outdoor area. Room was dusty . We found a few unclean utensils and mugs at breakfast and dinner. Staff were extremely nice.

Disliked: Amenities
Family room is small - noisy from room above walking constantly. Expensive for what it offers - need to sleep with windows open - no ac - more noise !
Very good location to city centre yet quiet and enjoyable with a great breakfast and comfortable beds. As typical with country and small hotels, no A/C
Rooms outdated and hotel appeared to be understaffed. Took two hours to get our dinner and there was only one other couple dining the entire time.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Not much good about it. We were given room on the very top, with lots of stairs to climb, windows old and falling apart and dirty tissue behind the bedside table. Also bathroom could be cleaned better from mould. Bedside lamps were not plugged in and room smelled of dampness. Beds were so so, not very comfortable. No green spaces or parks nearby to walk the dog , especially after it turns dark, and you need to walk far to the park. The back car park is a bonus. Town was busy but no green spaces there again. Pubs close early so i couldn't enjoy a pint outside after a busy day sightseeing. The hotel has small sitting area outside but you cannot drink alcohol outside after 10 pm.
Rooms were ok. Saw some mold in bathroom with broken seal in shower and the area around toilet was not well cleaned. Broken tiles in bathroom and water leaking everywhere.
Great hotel, parking fees required or you’ll get a ticket. £50 is a bit much for being late 15 min
Drinks are all the same, but they had a great restaurant and 2 bars
Great location and a great place outside of Edinburgh. Dining options were great!
Our stay here was phenomenal. Service was top-notch and the rooms comfortably appointed. We loved visiting Inverness and, should we return, we will stay again at Beaufort Hotel.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Quiet, quaint, and traditional
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and accommodating. Staff quickly volunteered to help us book cabs on two separate occasions. The room was very clean and housekeeping was efficient. The room was too warm at night however, with the windows not opening enough to allow air flow and the blankets too warm. We had drinks at the bar, enjoyed breakfast twice, and was able to order dinner once. The kitchen accommodated our dinner even though we ordered late and they were trying to close. The location was quiet and safe and the overall hotel appearance was quaint and traditionally Scottish.
Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, and the location was central

A dated place with old decor and even cigarette holes in bedding. To keep the hotel cool they opened doors throughout the building. Not a far walk to restaurants.
Terrible hotel. We rented a larger room for the family and they placed us over their reception hall when they knowingly had an event going on until 11pm on our second night. The room was also quite small and bed uncomfortable. They switched us to an even smaller room that was even more uncomfortable but at least quiet. The reception staff was rude and made it sound like it was our fault since we somehow should have known that they would be blasting 80's dance music all night. We didn't pick the room, it was assigned to us, after we had clearly stated while booking that we were traveling with a child.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage at the hotel after check out because our train was later in the afternoon. Our only complaints would be the lack of water pressure in the shower and the room was quite small for three adults. We liked that it was a family run hotel.
Staff made a mistake with the charges on the booking but totally corrected the problem in a very professional and approachable way, I really appreciated that and will come back again!
Pros: Staff were very friendly. Area was quiet and felt safe. Blackout curtains were great. Bathroom was very nice, well lit and surprisingly large. Morrison’s was an easy drive away, which we found very useful.
Cons: because our room slept five the beds were packed in the space pretty tight - but we were overall thankful to fit our whole family in one room. Walk to/from the car park felt a bit long when carrying suitcases in and out. Road work in the area (June 2025) had a road closed and made it a bit difficult for us to navigate to/from the hotel.
We got in late evening and left early morning, so did not get a chance to explore the area much. Wish we could have spent more time. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Inverness.
