Looking for the perfect stopover for some Nessie spotting in the Scottish Highlands? Our Hideaway Pod in Drumnadrochit village is your ideal base, located halfway along the popular western edge of the famous Loch Ness.
Only 12 miles from Inverness and en route to the Isle of Skye, our pod is a convenient and charming retreat. It’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, designed to help you relax and reconnect with nature.

The Space:
Nestled in a secluded and tranquil spot at the bottom of our cottage garden, the Hideaway Pod offers a private and peaceful experience. Built with high-quality materials, it ensures you stay cozy and comfortable, even during the coldest Highland spells.
Step outside onto your own small, south-facing patio with a table and chairs, set within a generous and secluded garden area. It's the perfect spot for your morning coffee or an evening drink.

Inside, the pod is a hideaway retreat designed for two people and can also accommodate 1 extra child(under 2) for free; A travel crib will be provided upon request.
* A comfortable double bed with a memory foam mattress.
* An ensuite with a shower and toilet.
* A small kitchenette equipped with all the essential items for preparing simple meals.
* Fast Wi-Fi those who need to stay connected.
* Please note: To encourage a true escape, there is no TV.

Guest Access:
Guests can access the pod via a path through our cottage garden, leading directly to your private garden gate. Free on-site parking is provided for your convenience.
Enjoy the flexibility of self check-in. We live on-site and are always happy to provide you with local travel tips and assistance should you need anything during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Our pod is located on the historic Lewiston Road, just a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Drumnadrochit village. Close to the famous Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre.
Within a short walk, you can find a supermarket, dining, cafes, a petrol station, and pubs. For nature enthusiasts, numerous hiking trails are right on your doorstep, including the Great Glen Way, Balmacaan Woods, Glen Affric, and Divach Falls, where you might spot ancient woodlands, red squirrels, and herds of deer.

Getting Around:
Drumnadrochit is an ideal base for exploring the wider Highlands. You can easily take day trips to stunning locations, all within a 1-2 hour drive:

* Glen Coe
* The Cairngorms National Park
* Famous 'Outlander' filming sites
* Numerous whisky distilleries

Beautiful and Cozy Stay

This was one of my partner and I’s favorite stays during our honeymoon. The hosts were very nice and wonderful to chat with. Our pod was clean and wonderful to stay in. The village is very walkable, which we loved. We would love to stay again!

Fantastic little pod near Loch Ness

Absolutely fantastic accommodations near Loch Ness. Central to many of the great sites Scotland has to offer! The renters Stuart and Xia were absolutely fantastic hosts and very friendly. They were willing to offer help as needed with laundry and anything else we needed during our stay! The Pod itself had everything you would need for a short stay on your vacation. I would highly recommend this spot for any couples making their way around the highlands wanting the best value for their stay! Enjoy!

Relaxing retreat

We loved our stay at the Hideaway Pod! The bed was very comfortable! We slept so well every night! We enjoyed relaxing in the private garden on sunny days. Stuart and Xia are fantastic hosts. The check-in couldn’t have been easier and they are nearby if you need anything. It felt like we were visiting old friends even though we had only just met. The location allowed for easy travel to all the places we wanted to visit in the Highlands, and having a parking spot for our car was a huge plus for us.

Exactly as expected

This is a lovely spot to get away from the hustle of city life. Its situated in a friendly town with pleanty of gorgeous views in the area. The castle is only 2 miles from the pod and the walk is breathtaking. The local restaurants are quite good as well. I would highly recomend staying here. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They paid attention to every detail.

Lovely decorated pod

The pod contains everything you need for a stay. The location is brilliant. Every corner of Scotland is easily accessible. Xia and Stewart are very attentive and loving. When we arrived, a heated pod with food and drink awaited us. The pod is lovely decorated. You feel welcome. What more do you need for a non-binding vacation? Xia and Stewart, thanks a lot for this unforgettable vacation. We enjoyed it a lot.
